How many wingers do we need?

Ryan Fraser Signed on 22:10 - Aug 30 with 2298 views | PatfromPoole | Whilst his pace isn’t what it was, he is not a headless chicken. More end product than Edozie and Sulemana put together. Valuable Prem experience. I do think we need a striker though.

Ryan Fraser Signed on 22:24 - Aug 30 with 2182 views | TripleNiemi | Knows what direction the oppositions goal is in and i personally feel he is an improvement on some with a bit more end product. More than happy to see him here [Post edited 30 Aug 22:25]

I’m good thanks Pal. Fair play to the owners who have put their hand in their pocket. I think we really need a No. 9 who can put it about. Thanks don’t think we have replaced Che. Maybe Diaz can do that role? I can’t remember when I was last so excited about a signing as us getting Ramsdale!

I agree Ryan Fraser is an upgrade on some & he does add that bit of experience to our young side. I think both him & Cornet will be good additions to the squad the only problem is that neither have played any competitive football for a while so it will probably be a month or more before they are match fit & by then we may have dropped valuable points. But all in all a very good transfer window. I was a bit surprised that the likes of Bella Kotchap & Tall Paul didn't go out in this window. But is it possible that they could still go to a foreign club in next couple of weeks. ?

In our first 2 league games, there was just an empty space where the striker was supposed to be. The transfer strategy seemed to be that buying 4 wingers would be better than buying a striker, which means we still don't have a striker so one or two of them will have to be tried out in that position. Anyway, we're not going to fit all of those wide players into a team. Archer scored 2 goals v Cardiff so he should get first dibs as centre forward at Brentford. The way this squad has been assembled means team selection is about squeezing players into the team, not necessarily in their best position, like KWP at left back and one of our wingers at centre forward, or having weird formations like 4 wide players and no striker.
