Leicester City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 21:24 - Jan 30 by max936 | Don't think we deserve to be 3 down, when its all said and done, some good work let down by panicky mistakes. |
Two open goals missed by them , I'd say a fair reflection on the game and I don't believe Leicester played that well

Ste I talk about the now and right now he seems a Martin clone We gave them a start then improved mainly as they didn't take us seriously . We are comical at how we gift goals the third tonight about the best example possible Pragmatic coach would sort this madness out within a month We repeat the madness Time is of the essence , make no mistake

If he was sure it was a pen, which he obviously did because he awarded it, he had to send off Wood, which he failed to do. Incompetent in the extreme.

He booked him clearly the wrong decision in the circumstances, he should have gone but never a penalty.
Leicester City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 23:27 - Jan 30 with 1319 views | Swans9 | Never a penalty looked a good recovering sliding tackle which got the ball. Our defensive line is way to high lately which is conceding a bucket load of goals. Most goals we concede shows opposition running through on goal unmarked. Or we give the ball to the opposition and concede. Four more wins and I think we will definitely stay up. Hopefully a couple of signings in the next two days. Major rebuild needed to the starting 11 in the summer and the squad. We probably lose a few in the summer as well. Good news is we will stay up this season. [Post edited 30 Jan 23:29]

The only thing I can think is he deemed it a foul and a penalty but not deliberate so a yellow and not a red. I still think he was wrong though, definitely not a penalty after seeing it again.

Its like having Martin back but with a weaker squad. The 3rd was text book Martin. Poor pass from the keeper then comedy defending. The 1st was atrocious. 3 minutes into the game and the back 5 are on the half way line, the midfield ahead of the ball and Leicester are in possession with in the centre circle. One pass and Dewsbury Hall has half a pitch of space to run into

Ok I will admit to being obsessed with Martin. That’s my issue. Fact is,so is our club and it’s why they appointed his protégée to take over. To me ,another shocking decision built on a ludicrous sentiment of Shiite We needed a complete change We needed better co@ching We needed better tactics We have trouble ahead ,trust me

Three games in a row we have been opened up within minutes of the game. In the first 20 mins of a game you should be working hard keep your defensive shape and tracking runners off the ball just to keep in the game. There could a case in surprising your opponents with early attacks to catch them off guard but not against better, well organised, quicker teams who are playing well, NO. You don't see Liverpool bombing forward willy nilly against the likes of Man City. The only surprise was in all three games the opposition didn't score even more early on. We didn't prepare for the expected onslaught very similar to when we go ahead in a game we don't anticipate the inevitable instant response. Cooper in the end played 4 at the back 5 across the middle leaving a lone striker in Ayew up top. Why? To shore up our defence. In the middle of the park he played Roberts and Bidwell both full backs wide togive needed protection to our full backs Naughton and Manning and to assist Fulton and Grimes he needed to have another body in there Corey Smith, Gallagher or Hourihane to try and be solid in the middle but alone Grime and Fulton couldn't cope. Ultimately Coopers team with the need to protect weaknesses ended up creating a weakness up front being unable to score many goals, tried opening up in the play off final and suffered the consequences. Why did I bring up Cooper it is because since his departure we still haven't addressed the weaknesses We have brought in promising centrehalves, lost some fullbacks who have been replaced, the left side looks promising but the right because of injuries still needs addressing. As for the centre of midfield that still needs changes. Yes we need pace out wide as the inclusion of Parker showed we can play differently but we are still exposed in the middle of the park as we were under Cooper and he knew it. Edit, sorry just say I think Martin knew there was an issue to playing both Grimes and Fulton together but didn't work that out until the run at the end of his tenure. [Post edited 31 Jan 9:20]
