Lots of different videos out there on the train, in the station, outside the hotel etc, no doubt a group organised a reception committee for him but Glasgow is like Liverpool left wing cities and the only thing worse than a capitalist right winger is a capitalist righter winger pretending to be a person on the left. Lots of our leaders have blood on their hands, they are backing a genocide, shame on them.

You could spoil your ballot paper, write none of the above on it, rather than not vote at all. [Post edited 8 Dec 2023 14:05]

I think most people can see that Labour have drifted back to the centre under Starmer, you don't need the elites and media to tell you that. That's why it looks like they're going to waltz home in the general election and will get my vote. A desire for a left wing / socialist government results in a right wing government. Starmer isn't perfect but give me him as PM over any other political leader at present anyday. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Calling for a ceasefire is antisemitic, I put it in a search engine and it came back as I expected (that is why i looked) an article saying it's antisemitic and the reasons why, you call people antisemitic on here but as I've pointed out to you before you say antisemitic things, it's a game with them, everything is antisemitic they do it to stop free speech, it does their cause no good. Calling for a ceasefire is an antisemitic left wing thing according to some, it's a nonsense game played by imperialist right wingers that support the apartheid regime in Israel.

Thankfully! Swansea used to be number 2 in the 70s and 80s I believe. Anybody remember the Alarm fanzine. It used to be quite amusing.

No it's not. Why would it be antisemitic? I actually said I would like to see a ceasefire. I realise actually establishing one is difficult. You've called me antisemitic and racist but have proved neither. Now you refere to "them", "they" and "thier". Who do you mean exactly? [Post edited 8 Dec 2023 15:41]

I remember Alarm. I once wrote a piece for it about Tom Stevens' (the then landlord and ex police officer) liking for decking customers in the back bar of the Uplands Tavern, seemingly exempt from the long arm of the law.. Ian Bone or one of his mates translated my draft into prole speak, and I remember my girlfriend of the time teasing me about my terrible English. I wonder what happened to Ian. I remember another occasion in the Tenby where Phil (the landlord) extended me a temporary line of credit when my wallet disappeared, and Ian said "I thought those days of drinks on the slate had gone". Miraculously, somebody in the pub returned my wallet with my money untouched the next night. Talking of "revolutionaries" in our city does anybody remember the time when Hilary Creek lived in Uplands, and other ex-Angry Brigade members came to visit her? I had several chats with her in a certain coffee bar, reminiscing about my own time at Essex. [Post edited 8 Dec 2023 15:50]

Trouble is Hamas will never agree to a ceasefire let alone stuck to it if history is anything to go by. They did break the temporary truce that Israel agreed to.

Even if the world and his dog called for a cease fire do you honestly believe Israel would stop its incursion, Starmer and his ilk have no more influence on Israel's plans than you or me, Hamas knew exactly what the repercussions would be when they attacked on the 7th October , the trouble is the innocent are paying the price for their actions that day.

I think a ceasefire is an imperative, it is needed to stop the slaughter. Israel have gone too far with their killing. Am I anti Semitic? Nope, I think Hamas are terrorists and need taking down but it has to be done via lawful means and this thing in Gaza is just murder.

I'd love to know who on earth thinks a ceasefire is anti-semitic apart from Netamnyahu himself. And he'd be wrong. I'd have no problem with Israel taking out Hamas or anyone else who attacks them but this obliteration needs to stop.

You are going to vote for an antisemitic party in the shape of the Labour party, well, well, well. I've heard Starmer being called the biggest antisemite of the lot, since he is the leader and helps set the direction of the party, I've heard he is married to a Jew and his children are brought up as Jewish but Starmer has overseen the Labour party revoke the membership of Jewish people, not any old Jewish people but left wing Jewish people who have criticised Benny Net Yahoo and his extreme right wing Government but that is deemed as antisemitic by some these days (what isn't antisemitic hey !), so a number is being done on left wing Jewish people by the Labour leadership and it's disgusting and you are going to vote for such people says a lot about you, accuse others of antisemitism and then you back it by trying to put in power people that will label and ban certain types of Jewish people from the Labour party.

You’ve got a choice a middle ground Labour Party under Starmer or a Rightwing Conservative Party under Sunak or whoever takes his place. The type of Labour Party you seem to want in government has no chance of being elected. Corbyn led the party in to the last GE and look what happened! I know what I’d prefer at this moment in time. I’m not disagreeing with you regarding your comments about propaganda from the elites and media, but that’s the world we live in.

Starmer is the establishment man, what was that article a few weeks ago, described him as MI5's man wasn't it. The elites will not allow a Foot or a Corbyn they will do a propoganda job on them to make sure they do not get in and they did in both cases. It's next to pointless having NuLabour in as they are Tory lite, different cheeks of the same arse. I will vote for a centre left party (like I have for decades now) the Labour party abandoned me back in the 80s and not the otherway around, my politics have not changed but theirs have. How are the Labour party (post Corbyn), or the Tories or any mainstream UK political party anti-semitic? You've called me racist without proof. You've called me an antisemite without proof. You're post's on here prove your an antisemite. I've asked you for examples of my antisemitism and racism and you still haven't provided it. While you're trying to find some, find something that proves calling for a ceasefire is anti-semitic. Also who were the "them", "they" and "their" you were referring to? As I asked but you have ignored. I wonder why.
