And the final paragraph didn't deserve an accompanying Photo? or is that patreon only?

great stuff, as always.

Did "reading a book" cure the hangover?

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." Brilliant Clive - Sounds a great trip.

Missed getting a ticket for Wimbledon but will be at Oxford before I go away for my holiday.

Hopefully we will have a least a couple of new faces in the building by then.

Back to football, exciting news about Dozzell. Could he be our star man this season??!

Been saving this for my breakfast read.
Jesus Christ what a roller coaster. In many ways, it would be better for all if QPR withdrew from the league and just went on regular tours throughout the year. Much less stress. Better for Clive’s mental (and physical) health, and we’d get insanely wonderful content like this on a regular basis.

Bare bones.

Sounds great. Delighted for you. Well deserved.

Thanks, Clive.

What was ‘strange’ about Richards’ performance?

He came on, stood on the right wing, and stayed stood there. Never moved. There was one cross second half from the opposite side went right through the goal to the back post, is Richards there? No he's not, he's over there, on the right wing. Every time we gave him the ball he ran it five yards in field, fell over, looked at the referee, and that was that.

That sounds brilliant, just what we need! Similar to Blondie's 'performance' at Glastonbury actually.

Well, except Debbie stayed on her feet.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Interesting - did you get the impression it was one of those things where the coaching staff told him to just focus on doing that and not worry about anything else? I seem to remember a few years ago we did that a lot with our youth players - dont worry about the result, your job today is to dribble past at least 6 players, or your job today is to never pass the ball backwards, that kind of thing. Building the muscle/thought process to be automatic for when it matters.

That said, feels a little odd as an ask...

Top report as usual... I am on holiday now myself and I have to say that the experiences you had in a week in Austria I never had in the more than sixty years I have been living here. Perhaps I am reading the wrong books... As for the game, I thought it was an ok performance, plenty of chances to score but scoring is something we don't do plus their keepers had inspired games. Next day in the newspaper I read Hartberg vs. Blackburn 0-6. Hartberg are in the top division over here, mid table usually... Well meaningless friendlies... Anyway great to see /meet so many of you and Clive... just keep going...
