The Ashes on 18:03 - Jun 16 by Whiterockin | What a brave move by Stokes a declaration on the first day. Get the aussies in for 4 or 5 overs. |
It gave Broad up to 2 early goes at Warner - and it worked.
| Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎 |

The Ashes on 09:33 - Jun 19 with 1832 views | shandyjack | need a good start today, that 20/30 mins of play yesterday afternoon could end up deciding the test. Enabled Aussies to pile on the pressure ahead of today

The Ashes on 16:30 - Jun 19 with 1793 views | britferry | Aus need 281 to win, Winviz has them 56% favs, general feeling is they needed 300+ Crucial runs by the tail-enders but will England rue that 1st innings declaration with Root on a hundred and still in? 2005, Aus needed 282 to win at Edgbaston and fell 2 runs short, same again please

The Ashes on 16:50 - Jun 19 with 1787 views | britferry | Bairstow first over again, Khawaja edges one, wickie and Root motionless as ball flies between them... oh for the days that a keeper went for everything Carrie for Oz would have taken it [Post edited 19 Jun 2023 18:47]

Huge wicket, if Smith had had remained for tomorrow I would have fancied the Oz.

Really? English cricket is becoming like English football, the press/mediia jump on the bandwagon Really admire the way they're trying to play, but the hype is ridiculous
The Ashes on 20:30 - Jun 20 with 1436 views | union_jack | I think that Stokes declared a little too early in the first innings. I though5 so at the time so not in hindsight. No guarantee things would have ended differently but going over 400 would have had a psychological effect maybe. Great test, roll on the next one but Oz have more at their disposal I think.

I agree, with Root in full flow we could have added an extra 20/30 runs I reckon. Gutting to lose like that at the end. Think Lyon v Ali was the big difference, Ali as predicted was not fit enough for test cricket and Lyon is too good. We need to hope Jimmy steps up next test and it felt like we were a 2 pronged attack most of the inns

The Ashes on 22:41 - Jun 20 with 1377 views | britferry | I like Bairstow, especially as a one-day keeper/batsmen but in a test match, you need a specialist keeper, too many mistakes for my liking, letting Khawaja get away with the first over miss in the 2nd innings, cost them the test match, please note, I said "them" not "us"
