He’s clearly a decent manager but can’t underestimate the impact of him sacking it off after a few months of working with this group of players. They clearly bought into his methods and it was always going to be difficult to turn things around after he left. I don’t think the appointments have helped as the players clearly didn’t gel with Critchley and if anything it’s got worse under Ainsworth.
Warnock till the end of the season would’ve made more sense but I suppose that’s the benefit of hindsight and was never going to happen with Ferdinand in the picture. |  | | |
