Swansea City v Bristol City : Matchday Thread 2022/23 on 15:49 - Mar 19 by Dr_Winston | Pick a team containing attacking players and you get an attacking performance. Football is a simple game despite Russy's attempts to complicate everything. Ntcham is by some considerable distance the most creative, most naturally talented attacking midfield option we have, so obviously despite scoring and assisting more than any other central option he's largely been left on the bench lately. Fulton's suspension has forced Russy's hand there, but no doubt Jay will be on the bench next game whilst Grimes or Cundle continue to do not much of anything really. [Post edited 19 Mar 2023 15:54]

Just got back in, Ntcham was in a different class looked the real deal with no fitness issues. We need to give this guy a free role. We were still a little ponderous but 50% of the time there is no out ball so we recycle. Cullen also makes a big difference off the ball by constantly playing of the shoulder and pulling defenders out of position. We still desperately need a pacy WB who can beat a player.

Been saying Ntcham should play as central playmaker since seeing him in the world cup and then looking at some of his other performances online. His class shone through today. Cabango in the middle of a three was also on superb form. Picking players in their natural positions works. I thought Walsh was good too, seemed to be thinking a yard faster than most.

You still try to have a swipe at the manager even after a very good 2-0 win. Your views are largely irrelevant as they lack any balance. Someone said to me earlier “ I’m sure some of our supporters are happier when we lose “. I refuse to believe that but you might be an exception. Sad indeed. Enjoy the win and the three points. Be pleased for the players and supporters. Try to be a bit more positive. You might enjoy it.

Swansea City v Bristol City : Matchday Thread 2022/23 on 16:05 - Mar 19 by KeithHaynes | You didn’t think the two ( Cundle and Grimes ) played well ? |
I thought Cundle was Cundle. Put himself about but achieved very little. He's a bit like George Byers in the sense that he's highly rated by some, but nobody can really say what he's actually good at. Grimes did what he usually does. Sat deep and passed. He was particularly good at playing them just behind people today.

The last thing we need is a pacy wing back because we should ditch the wing back nonsense permanently and stick with todays formation. I thought Cundle was better today and maybe because we had Ntcham and Walsh there, 3 attacking midfielders with Grimes deeper, usually. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Ntcham made some awful mistakes that could have cost us the game but he was a joy to watch despite all that. Grimes was the best player on the pitch by a country mile. An excellent performance all round. Well done to management and team.

Cullen is not a great footballer, but his work rate is excellent. Good on him.

Not only do we need a pacy WB we also need pace upfront? The Manning position today or the overlapping Darling position? The number of times we could have slipped them through in the first half was ridiculous watching from high up in the stand.
