I'm struggling to think how someone this unqualified has somehow risen to the top job. Unless something has been scripted and written down, she has a total inability to think on her feet. Eddie Mair recently tweeted "you can actually see her buffering" when being interviewed. Starmer will eat her for breakfast, lunch and dinner at PMQs.
As Lycett said at the weekend we're pretty much at the bottom of the barrell. Theyre not even really tories...
But putting aside everything else - how mad is it that 81,000 people have chosen the PM for (maybe but probably not) the next 2 years...
That'll be 14 years of "conservative" govt...
I remember milling around london in 2012 and thinking how proud everyone must be to live in the UK and 10 years later were paddling in Sh%te, nothing really works, facing the worst winter ahead that anyone can remember....
But whats worse is that as an Irishman living here I have more rights than people holding British passports....
Its the first time in my adult life Im seriously contemplating moving out of the UK..
my local pub would miss me I guess (assuming it stays open)...
Hey ho!

Personality of a damp face cloth. It's incredible the Tories have been in power for 12 years. Shocking indictment of the state of politics in the UK and this is the best that they come up with.

Suppose she can’t help her looks but fûck me that’d be a tough wà nk!!
Think she's not that bad - 47 years young n'all...
I'm more worried about her lack of experience and potential to cack things up even more than they already are.
Saying that I've become weary of all of it in recent years and actually hope she is a success for all our sakes - for someone who rates Thatcher there's very little industry left for her to shut down anyway, profitable or otherwise.

Change the constitution now.
There was a referendum and the population voted for the existing model to remain as is. Not sure how long there can be between referendum's of the same subject but maybe time is now for change.

If a governing party of any flavour decides to change its leader for no other reason than they'd like someone different then it should result in a general election. Different for those not in power.

Without compare, the thickest PM in my lifetime, and indicative of how appalling low the quality of our political stock is currently. It’s woeful, globally too!
She’s a disaster in waiting, as error prone as the ignoramus she replaces.
Genuine concern for the UK under Lizard Truss.

Sorry which referendum was that one? I lose track...
There should just be a simple clause that once a PM resigns or is thrown out by their party, a general election is announced as soon as their successor is named.
