Absolutely brilliant performance that leaves us nicely nearer the playoffs than the bottom.

Poll: Will you be signing up to Direct Debit for Goldbond?

Just another mention for O’Keefe. As picked up on the AltDaleComms video, to run half the pitch at that speed to chase a nothing ball and have the tenacity to win it and then win a penalty is nothing short of sublime.

My god isn’t it refreshing to go and watch Dale & actually enjoy the afternoon, relish the result and have a marvellous Sunday to boot?

Yesterday was excellent and quite literally night and day with some of the showings we’ve witnessed in recent weeks.

It actually felt like some of our more senior players finally stepped up to the plate and delivered what was expected & then some.

We looked far more up for it, dominated the midfield and defended like our lives depended on it - how many times can you honestly say we’ve done that this season?

Grant was sublime first half. Beesley probably put in the best performance of his career & I also thought Coleman was brilliant & again showed that he is a far more suitable number 1 than Lynch.

What I found most interesting yesterday was the involvement of McNulty & Ellis.

Prior to the substitution RS was speaking with Ellis for about three minutes, deep in thought decided what hand to play.

That’s the most involved I’ve seen Ellis & it clearly worked so let’s keep going with it.

There was a number of posts last week questioning effort etc. I think it’s fair to say those 3 games in 6 days took their toll but the attitude, effort and impact yesterday was just a joy to watch.

January is a huge month for us, both in terms of who we want to shift on but also whether we can keep hold of some others.

I’d love to see us be on the front foot and get some early business done & not let the month go by hoping for cheaper alternatives later in the window, granted this may be our only option with covid & budget etc but we live in hope.

I find it more refreshing there’s no subtle digs at the manager this week.

Let’s keep going with it.

Interesting that 10 minutes of extended highlights could not fit in some of the chances we created and the penalty shouts in the first half, we were that good.
