Presume it will be our relegation season 73/74?
Won 1 at home but drew 12. It was 2 points for a win so 14 points.

but we did win two cup games at home that season so three wins for the home fans

Based on the stats MK are currently out playing Hull at Hull.

Be tricky to underperformed us compared to Tuesday. Just perhaps MK are quite good after strengthening in January and perhaps we don't to feel so much collective shame for having been beaten by them.

Not sure many were too concerned at losing to MK, more our own performance that’s following a similar theme.

Not outscoring them, though, James.

EDIT: They are now!

Yeah fair point and TVOS that is the beauty of a solid defence.

Speaking of clean sheets, someone posted our home results last night and I was alarmed to see we've only kept one home clean sheet all season!

Out of interest, does anyone know what our worst ever home record is over a full season?

Sorry, only just come across this post.

If we look at it as percentage of available points gained, these are the worst five:

1931/32 - 10 points out of 40 possible (25%)
1973/74 - 14 points out of 46 possible (30.4%)
1987/88 - 24 points out of 69 possible (34.8%)
2011/12 - 26 points out of 69 possible (37.7%)
2002/03 - 27 points out of 69 possible (39.1%)

This season is currently at 9 points out of 42 possible (21.4%)

To avoid it becoming the worst ever, we need to get to 18 points, so doubling our current tally.

And if we include cup games, with the exception of 1931-2, we won cup games at home each year.

In 1931-2 we lost away in the FACup. Lost at home in the Lancashire Cup if you chooset include that.

Using the same notional points it brings this season down to 18.5% and 1931-2 to 23.8.

That pushes the target up to 20 points from 9 remaining home games.

Whichever way you look at we are facing our west ever season at home...perhaps just as well we havent had to watch from the stands.

I'd always exclude cup games on the premise that if we stick to the league, every club plays the same amount, whereas cup draws are somewhat random.

But, like all stats, you can choose whatever data suits an argument.

Meanwhile, Charlton lost at home to Gillingham. Perhaps they aren't quite as good as everyone was making out after last Saturday!

Tangled up in blue.

League home form: Played 18 Won 1 Drawn 8 Lost 9

So far 2020/21 - 11 points out of a possible 54 (20.37%)

Worst ever as it stands.

Whats the record for passes along the back four NOT leading to a goal?

At least 90% of that was pointless and not in the least bit entertaining. At no stage were Gillingham pulled out of position and it was only a forward pass into a player prepared to make a move, a clever flick and a good finish that stood out.

The rest was tedious.

We've got the record of most passes leading to the opposition scoring! 🤣

Yeah I get what you mean it was somewhat excessive. Isn't the theory if you have the ball the opposition don't and therefore cannot score. Also the opposition will get tired and frustrated chasing shadows. Although MK Dons lost that game 3-2 in the end

It’s a boring theory.

Also, sometimes you pass it to John Stones.

Can,t speak for the opposition, but its a style of play that certainly bores me. Where,s the passion and excitement? I won,t be making a season ticket commitment next August until I know that BBM,s "philosophy " has been finally binned. Am not holding my breathe. Our executive need to realise they are in an entertainment business regardless of which division we are in next season. For most of this season we have had neither results or entertainment due to BBM,s philosophy and his stubbornness not to make the style of play changes we all knew were required. This season, it may prove the change has been left to late and if so he will only have himself to blame.
Regarding Stones, he,s always been a liability. It can,t be a coincidence that everytime I see him play he makes a gaffe. .Dawson would be a better choice. Not that I,m biased or anything!
