Did I say you said that? It’s an award presented by the Royal Family. Royalty isn’t what it used to be,they have very little say in Government. That said I would not want to lose them,they are part of our history. To suggest Socialists don’t tend to like Royaly is ridiculous. | | | |

If you are a true socialist, you are unlikely to like Royal family members living in castles and palaces. If you don't mind people living in luxury, you are very unlikely to be a socialist! Socialists don't like the rich or those with a luxury lifestyle do they. The royal family live in luxury and are all very well off, so it's fair to say that a true socialist, who doesn't like the rich, won't like the royal family. A true socialist would want Windsor Castle sold and the money spread out amongst the population, no doubt.
But the point is, Starmer is rich himself, so it's not an issue. And first impressions are that Starmer is not the devout socialist that Corbyn is, so things might improve for Labour if they change some of their unpopular, deeply socialist policies. [Post edited 9 Apr 2020 21:01]

It doesn't matter who the government of the day is, the 2 groups represent complete opposites of ideals.
