What an absolute coward of a goalkeeper.

Weak as a kitten and no guts or heart .
Thankfully will be gone in the summer.

Called up for Sweden, they must be struggling as well.

We have had some cracking keepers over the years.

Crudgeington
Dave Stewart
Micheal Hughes
Guthrie
Freestone
Gurret
Doris bar pens
Vorm
Fabianski the best of the lot

Nordfelt is a nothing keeper how long is his contract.
Mulder is better but still not good enough but can't see us replacing anytime soon.

Oh for the days when we used to replace the weak links and not just make us weaker.

FUKC off Yanks.

I couldn't believe the first goal.

A useless wall, wrongly positioned and the nothing damp squib shot went straight past and into the goal untouched

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot and putting yourself up against it.

If there's one position we need to improve in the summer it's goalkeeper. Never mind the talk about striker, DM, etc - what we need is a proper goalkeeper. Someone who commands his box. Sure, he'll need to be half decent with his distribution because that's essential to our style of play but there has to be better ones out there than we've got.

And you played in goal for what championship side?

It wasn't entirely Nordfelts fault that we shipped 3 goals, some of our defenders need to take a look at themselves

first goal was Naughton's fault. Flat footed defending led to the free kick, then marked the front post poorly.
Nordfelt's was entirely to blame for second goal, you can see VDH duck expecting Nordfelt to come claim/punch ball away.
3rd goal was down to nervousness in everyone considering we'd conceded 4 set piece goals in less than 2 games against WBA

Mike Hughes is probably the first keeper I recall properly. Very sad injury if I recall ( before the premier league so 70% of posters here can move on ) However I doubt if Rog would have signed had Hughes not retired early.

We have a German 20 year old who is better.

Benda's biggest issue is coming for balls too often. He'll charge out for things that he probably isn't going to get to, including stuff outside the area.

Good otherwise, though. Get him on the weights in the summer to bulk up and give him a try next season.

Thanks Jasper - i look forward to that.

Bizarrely Hughes was an outfield player in our school team, never saw him as a keeper at all.
