Swansea 2010 Leicester 1974 Plymouth 1967 - No, I didn't go to Devon for that one!
Rangers were invited to stop at a farmhouse on the way to Plymouth to be treated to Christmas Dinner, which they duly did.
Then the Plymouth fans rioted after we won 1-0 thanks to Rodney "winning his side a penalty"! Our next match was the return fixture where we put 4 past them.
Three of the worst were Tottenham 1973, Millwall 1969 & Ipswich 2017. I don't think we managed one shot at goal in the three combined!

I came all the way from California for that Derby game.
Landed at LHR around lunchtime met by my dad and straight to LR.. I'll never forget Derby wearing an all Red strip and a slightly rotund Charlie George getting sent off for kicking out as you rightly say.
It was an absolute crap game and one of those were you say why did I bother.
For the record
Parkes Shanks Gillard Cunningham Howe James Hollins Francis Bowles Givens Eastoe Sub Busby
That central defensive partnership amazing kept out 9 Derby players Think Elerslie road stand was being built?
Dreadful game but the Ellerslie has been open for a year or more.

1974. 4-2 at home against Leicester. Phil Parkes scored a 'goal' with an enormous punt from his hands but the ref disallowed it for no good reason. Yes, kids, referees were crap back then too.
I remember Parksy scoring, not sure the ref knew what the rules were so disallowed it.

Not one of ours but can remember Fulham beating Ipswich 10-1 and, in the days when you played the reverse fixture next match, losing away something like 8-3.

Every visit to Rangers as a nipper was an adventure and this was one of the best. But that ref, Tinkler from Barnsley - wot a grinch! I hope the young 'uns here today will see something that will still cherish when they're old and decrepit. Merry Xmas all.

It wasn't the referee but the offside law back then.
You were not allowed to be in an offside position - full stop - didn't matter if you were nowhere near the ball.
Hence why the law was changed several times to reach where we are now.

The Swansea game was epic and never to be forgotten.
However, another one that sticks in my mind was against Liverpool in 1991 - only 0-0 but some great banter with a bigoted old woman (can I say that?), a Liverpool supporter in our ranks in SAR, who was made to eat her words much to our great amusement. all I can remember otherwise is a great performance by Stejksal .
I remember that Liverpool one very well too. The best 0-0 match I've ever seen!! Both keepers (Stejskal and Grobelaar) played blinders. Would love to see the stats from that game because the way I remember it both teams had dozens of shots on target. Came out of that match saying to my mates "if we keep playing like that we're going to give someone a right hiding soon" A few days later we played at at Old Trafford in New year's Day.

QPR v West Ham - three nil win - 1980 I think but who was the manager and the teams that day?
Rs: Burridge Shanks Gillard Fenwick Wicks Roeder Flanagan King Stainrod Currie (Waddock) Silkman WHU: Parkes Stewart Lampard Bonds Martin Devonshire Holland Goddard Cross Brooking Pike
Wet Spam were top at the time. Rs were inconsistent in the bottom half. Attendance 23,811 (I'm sure the Rs had the School End as the Loft was uncovered and being refurbed). Scorers: Silkman Currie Stainrod (first home goal). Managers were Venables and Lyall. The Hammers won the return leg in April 3-0 on their way to the title by 13 points. The Rs finished 8th - 4 places above Ch*ls** 😎
As for yesterday - a cracking Rs performance. Ipswich started well playing neat passing football but with no firepower upfront. The Rangers machine just keeps on purring. Some lovely finishes. Wszolek Leinster and Wells were imperious and there was a nice cameo at the end from Chair. As it's fresh in the memory it goes into my top 5 Boxing Day games.
1. Leicester (1974) W4-2 2. Swansea (2010) W 4-0 3. Ipswich (2018) W 3-0 4. Norwich (1996) W 3-2 5. West Ham (1980) W 3-0
