Dean Smith Bell-end on 10:58 - Oct 27 with 6401 views | Juzzie | He said they were the aggressors yet we had more shots on target. Having higher percentage possession doesn't equte to being better yet it seems to me that’s wgat he’s trying to allude to.
Dean Smith Bell-end on 11:13 - Oct 27 with 6301 views | plasmahoop | He also says we targeted grealish, and it was like a tag team. He did have a fair few fouls against him, but so did eze. I'm pleased we are looking more streetwise and professional if that was the case
Dean Smith Bell-end on 11:14 - Oct 27 with 6296 views | smegma | I thought the game was fairly even but we scored the only goal. Tammy Abraham is probably on more money than any of our players but was pony upfront. If they had a decent striker , who knows??? Lumley didn't have to make any really decent saves, Bolasie near the end maybe ?? But Scowen created the best chance with the keeper tipping his screamer over the bar. And at the end of the day, our defence were superb. For the goal, Villas defence were all over the place with a simple through ball down the middle. And fair play to the ref playing the advantage following an obvious foul against us, allowing Cameron to find Pav with a great ball.
Dean Smith Bell-end on 11:32 - Oct 27 with 6195 views | TacticalR | Of course he needs to ask himself why Villa didn't win 3-0. Despite that I do think that Villa are a good side and on their day could blow away some of the teams in the division.

Dean Smith Bell-end on 11:37 - Oct 27 with 6175 views | kropotkin41 | That possession % figure is just no guide to who "should" win games. The season Leicester City won the Prem I don't suppose they had the majority of possession in any game they played.

Dean Smith Bell-end on 11:39 - Oct 27 with 6161 views | paulparker | Never used to mind Villa but since dropping into the championship they have delusions of grandeur in believing they are to big for the league Their fans have a huge billy bollox attitude and I hope and pray they don’t go up and suffer severe financial restraints next season It was also good to see weasel face lee Hendrie have to praise us and even that big nosed gimp hinchcliffe had to say nice things It was a throw back to the old days of when we always gave the big boys a punch on the nose and sent them packing , a great night all round
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Dean Smith Bell-end on 11:55 - Oct 27 with 6096 views | Phildo | They looked pretty much what they are - a team with lots of attacking talent that does not fit together that well and a terrible defence. Dean Smith Bell-end on 12:33 - Oct 27 with 5976 views | dodge_stoke_r | Not very gracious in defeat was he? "We where better than QPR" No you weren't mate. You may have had more of the ball and attacked more. But you weren't good enough to break us down. So you wasn't better than QPR.
Dean Smith Bell-end on 12:38 - Oct 27 with 5957 views | HAYESBOY | Possesion, smession…. You can have all the possession you want in your own half and near the hall way line, don't mean squat. 1-0 Dean you c0ck end.

Dean Smith Bell-end on 12:45 - Oct 27 with 5909 views | DavieQPR | Good individual players, even a sub who cost more than our entire side, but don't play as a team. The number of misplaced passes they had was ridiculous. Thought their best player was Hutton which sums them up.

To be fair this is something that a lot of people in and around football look at as an indicator of dominance, not just Dean Smith. Seems to ignore the question of what the teams actually do with the ball but I'm sure he'll learn. On a similar note the commentator for the Sheffield Wednesday game is still counting Barry Bannons touches of the ball as we speak, didn't seem to bother him that he did nothing with it all game. At least we taught SM the lesson that possession doesn't win prizes, courtesy of Bobby Zamora.
Dean Smith Bell-end on 12:54 - Oct 27 with 5868 views | Hayesender | He should count himself lucky they didn't play the entire 2nd half with 10 men. But I suppose he didn't see that

Dean Smith Bell-end on 13:05 - Oct 27 with 5830 views | chris1969 | His comment about us being lucky midweek as well showed how bitter he was, showed no class in defeat. We were better in key areas across the pitch they failed to really threaten our goal. They are now playing most of the top 6 which is great for us.
Dean Smith Bell-end on 13:34 - Oct 27 with 5738 views | Northernr | You can't knock the jobs Smith has done at either Walsall or Brentford, but there's a sort of smugness to him and his teams which does him few favours either in image or results. It's like Dario Gradi and the way he used to talk down to Ian Holloway's sides back in the early 00s - before it turned out his clubs was harbouring a paedophile ring. Just a sort of self righteous attitude that football should only be played one way, and they're the only true exponents of it, and anybody else playing it a different way is a philistine who only really wins through luck or cheating. That Brentford attitude of "everybody said we're the best team they've played" while losing 4-3 at Preston a perfect manifestation of it.

Dean Smith Bell-end on 13:49 - Oct 27 with 5666 views | timcocking | Ungracious comments lacking class once again by an opposition manager (that's why we lost - fact). Disappointing and they reflect badly on Dean Smith and Villa even if he's too dumb to understand that.

Smith lacks class whining because they did not win excuses excuses..Fat frank the same when we drew with them ....we were better than you ha ha ...they both need to suck it up.
Dean Smith Bell-end on 15:01 - Oct 27 with 5527 views | Watford_Ranger | Villa have had a bottomless pit of money for this squad and lined up with a striker on one wing and a full-back on the other. If Bolasie had started against either of our full-backs he’d have caused far more problems. Bolasie FFS and they’ll be covering his full wages from a time Everton were burning money for fun. Smith’s choice to not pick him. Also his choice to play Grealish deep and therefore ineffective. Also his choice to stick with Abraham who played like an entitled ponce all night.

The stats man in the Racing Post makes an interesting observation/assertion today. He reckons the team that is behind in a match will always have more possession than is their 'norm' because the team behind has to have the ball to score and team in front does not have the same requirement - their focus being on not conceding. His cites the Spain v England game, where Spain's possession even higher than normal because they were behind for longer. As 'proof' he points out that when they won at Wembley they actually had less possession - food for thought indeed.
Dean Smith Bell-end on 16:09 - Oct 27 with 5355 views | TGRRRSSS | Goes back the the obsession with Busquets - Iniesta etc without bothering to see what they are doing with the ball, and the purpose with which they are playing as opposed to simply having plenty of ball. ON another day Villa will give a few sides a hiding, but we planned for it, were prepared, took an opportunity - and to be honest with a bit more composure at times, could maybe have had another goal or 2 ourselves, especially in the 2nd half. WTF is Grealish still doing to Villa really? Should have gone to Spurs.
Dean Smith Bell-end on 17:05 - Oct 27 with 5252 views | themodfather | qpr did not kick grealish out of the game, he goes down easily but he never complained and is a decent player, maybe a bell end i don't know . abrahams was poor, wastes chances and villa think they are good. anyway with jt in their set up they can rot

Ahh Tammy Abraham. Watching him last night, I was scratching my head as to how the hell has this lad got an England cap. Then I realised Jay Bothroyd also has one of them
