Whilst this is true it beggars belief that they consider him the best man for the job any more. His decision making has just hit them where it hurts them most - in the pocket. I can see why the Americans could want him to stay, he has experience of running a football club in a competitive league, dealing with agents and other clubs re transfers etc. He also pulled the rabbit out of the hat last year after Bob Bradley was appointed and sacked and nearly did it again this year with CC. If the Llorente and Siggy transfers had gone through earlier and their replacements been in pre season along with better luck on the injuries front he could probably argue Swansea would have been safe. He also has an stake in the club which he will no doubt want to cash in at some stage in the future so he will want to see the club be successful.
Personally, I would like to see HJ go,but I am not sure that he will. If he doesn’t go, the very least that needs to happen is a new DOF is appointed. | | | |
