Not a regular poster, but could I have a match thread for my birthday, please??
Turning 40 today, which probably could have been a minor depression.
But got up this morning to a surprise from my girlfriend:
Tickets to London for the weekend. At the airport now and she just showed me tickets for tomorrows game as well. Amazing - and she doesn't even care about football. Can't ask for more, but would really like to have 3 points as well :)

Robinson makes a superb, utterly superb, recovering challenge to deny Forest a breakaway and Smithies' great hand-out does the rest. Smithies is sometimes overrated on here, I feel, but that was amazing goalkeeping. Great from him and Robinson.

Smyth made a mistake five minutes ago getting robbed on the halfway line when he should have attacked the ball. It seems to have woken him up. He's had a lovely five minutes since - all footwork, niggle and enterprise, culminating in a flosating cross shot from the left after a nice jinking run that floated wide.

Very poor first half. Passing is dreadful, we are giving the ball away continually with erratic passing and Forest are much better in midfield. Considering we have Smith up front our delivery into the box has been abysmal. Why can't we put a decent cross in? It was same at Sheffield in the week.

Agree that the passing has been rushed. As if the plan was to play direct to the two up front but that we're panicking it. Two of our midfielders - Luongo and Freeman - need to get themselves involved. This is a repeat of midweek from them.
