Had a good talk with Russ Green this morning, what a smashing bloke.
Brought down tea and coffee for the fans waiting for tickets, and gave us info about the pitch which he had hoped it would be done by today but with the climate it will be tomorrow evening and the dome will be up protecting it for Sunday.

Half a million to a million pounds was the estimate from someone in the know on Talksport. |
That was a fibresand one and growing it from scratch (the work we are looking at doing in the summer) I think the Sun are way off with their estimate and just got their wires crossed. No where in that article does Chris Dunphy say how much it's costing. They've just put 2 and 2 together and got 5. More like the £100k which had been previously mentioned on here. |  |

Has there been anything at all said publicly since the pitch relay was announced?
I appreciate keeping fans updated is not the number 1 priority, but i’d hope it is somewhere above making sure the face painter is booked for Sunday. |  |

Well, in the car park this morning was the biggest mountain of sand/earth I've seen in a long time.
Lunchtime update - the mountain has now become a hill - earth/sand being taken away. The whole car park will need a thorough hose down! [Post edited 15 Feb 2018 12:45]

Picked up some tickets earlier and had a quick look through the gates at corner of pearl st to main stand, pitch uncovered but looking good.
Spoke to a guy who had a premier pitches jumper on, and he said it will play fine, they have had great weather considering early in the week snow. They ate probably going to leave uncovered and let natural air get to it as temps are favourable.
