Clucas on 23:21 - Feb 12 by TheResurrection | You make out like every player on a yellow gets automatically subbed. That had nothing to do with it. |
So the fact he's our only recognised left back, who was being targeted by their players and fans, and was on a yellow didn't come into the decision at all? I agree Carlos wanted to bring on another attacking option, but the decision to hook Olsson rather than Naughton would certainly have been influenced by Olsson being on a yellow.

About time too. He needs some competition as he's been coasting this year imo.

Nope, not at all. Clucas couldn't have gone to right wing back could he. Also just before getting subbed Olsson put a terrible cross over and Carlos looked fed up. And lastly, as Carlos said it was all about getting all the meat on the barbeque, so that meant Clucas still in an attacking role along with our other big guns. The yellow was mostly irrelevant in that decision.

Clucas on 07:03 - Feb 13 by Dr_Winston | It's probably a bit of both. Carlos wanted to get more firepower on to chase the three points and Olsson already being on a yellow was vulnerable to the hook. Two birds, one stone. |
On Saturday it was the least important factor in him coming off. He just wanted to get better attacking options whilst keeping our balance.

I would assune it was because Olsson had been booked.

Sometimes you talk sense, sometimes you talk bollocks. This time it's the latter. No point saying anything else really.

I don't have a clue who you are to make a past judgement but going by your posts on here I'll have to assume you talk permanent bollox. Let's look at it a different way..... Olsson has been booked 16 times in the EPL. How many of those games do you think he was subbed in? As guttting as it is to see one of our players go in the book, especially when they're a defender, rarely do they get hooked because of it. But Carlos has already bloody said what happened and that is he wanted to have all the meat on the barbeque. It was nothing to do do with being cautious and wanting to protect our full back staying on the pitch. Gee facking god, the level of intelligence on this site is frightening.

No it wouldn't FFS....... Because then we would've had another full back on the pitch when Carlos wanted to be more adventurous. He sacrificed a more traditional full back for an attacking player in that position. Honest a facking god.

I've only seen Roberts on the right, is he any good on the left.

Naughton can, and Roberts can take his place.
