Worst performance so far 17:14 - Dec 30 with 9881 views | Jack59 | Considering how poor the opposition was for 88 minutes this was our worst performance of the season, too many players not even fussed about making tackles. Naughton and Carroll deserve a special mention for giving me hope that at 67 there could be a future for me in the Premier League. Well done Ollie, and the others who came on late in the game, without them we would have had zero points.

Worst performance so far on 17:36 - Dec 30 by jack247 | People getting carried away with what was ultimately a lucky win - definitely. Am I less worried than I was this morning? Of course I am. We’re still likely to go down, but a defeat today and it would have been close to nailed on. At least there’s a glimmer now. |
Get back to me at the end of January.

How many truly awful or bang average teams have we failed to beat ? This performance and more importantly the result gives me the hope we can pull this out of the bag Better to hope than just give up

Two goals in three games, plus he could easily have had another last week and was very unlucky early on today

"Considering how poor the opposition was" I believe they were 8th or 9th before today and doing quite well ?

It's a marathon as you know. The teams we can look to beat are Newcastle, Burnley, Brighton, with the odd draw against the big boys in between

I never said we are staying up. I said we’re in a better position this evening than we were this morning. Both in terms of tangibles (points) and intangibles (optimism).

Worst performance so far on 17:21 - Dec 30 by Darran | I think he makes a good point myself. Don’t get me wrong that’s a massive three points but people don’t half get carried away especially with what we have coming up in January. Am I any less worried tonight than I was this morning? Absolutely not. |
Confidence is a big. thing Darr. It gives us something to build on.. Also our safety target has improved. We need squad strengthening. absolutely no doubt. There is still a lot of work to do.

Sorry I can see the problem now, What I should have said was - Considering how poor the opposition was today. I missed out the word 'today' because I thought most people would realise that's what I was getting at, rather than rating the opposition on the basis of their standing in the league. As you know teams don't always live up to their lofty league position, and I would like you to visit WFC forums or TheHornetsNest to see what the Watford fans think of their teams performance today. It's well worth a read

Thing is Jack59, we have played so many poor sides this season, certainly worse than Watford , and yet they have made us look terrible. To turn things around and get a win from behind like that must have been a great morale booster for a team that had just got hammered in their previous game. Credit where it's due. Watford (for all their supposed faults) could and should have buried us before we equalised.

Worst performance so far on 20:23 - Dec 30 with 1392 views | A_Fans_Dad | How anyone can say that it was our worst game beggars belief. The first half was very poor and they scored after only 10 minutes or so. But unlike in previous games the boys did not give up, their heads did not drop. They fought to the last minute of the game and pulled off a very good win. That in itself is an improvement, as were the choice and attitude of the Subs that were made, they all improved the play.
