Maybe it's because I watched lower league football before I moved to the area, maybe it's because I played the game for 30 years in preference to watching, but I think some of the opinions are way beyond a joke. I repeat not one single player in our squad is SH*T and now the latest to hit the numpty's SH*T list is Fab. What I would say that is slowly approaching being SH*T is the support the team gets in the stadium. Fans/supporters -really? Give me strength!!

I believe I must be unique.. on 15:39 - Jan 20 with 3831 views | TheKirkyLife | I'll agree to a certain extent that with the squad we have we shouldn't be bottom of the table. I truly believe the entire team has gone into an underperformance rut following the sacking Francesco. That said we are also nowhere near a midtable team anymore.

I believe I must be unique.. on 15:41 - Jan 20 with 3812 views | Neath_Jack | It's all relative silly. We have plenty of players that are nowhere near Premier League quality (see sh1t), some might say that others are not even Championship quality (see very sh1t).

Interesting, thank you. I still think he is the worst in the league when you consider how many goals we concede due to him backtracking towards his line when the cross is definitely capable of being caught. His shot stopping being second worst is not surprising. [Post edited 20 Jan 2017 15:56]

He is another player currently living off the reputation he attained at his former club. If we had signed a less well known goalkeeper in the Summer and he had put in the performances Fabianski has, I'm sure the general view of him would be toxic. But because it is Fabianski, he gets a pass. As did Jack Cork for over a year, as did Naughton, as did Argentine vice captain Fernandez and so on, despite it being painfully obvious even after just a few games they were not an improvement on what we have had in this league.

I believe I must be unique.. on 16:09 - Jan 20 with 3626 views | A_Fans_Dad | That is one of the major problems with overwrought and disappointed fans, they exaggerate like hell. As Neath Jack says it is all relative, what is "Shit" to them is not so for others. Like the other teams in the bottom 5 or 6 we have some Premier bottom feeders and Championship level players. I agree with the OP, our players are decent Professionals, who due to age and or a lack of confidence both in themselves and their team mates are playing well below par. But just for once I agree with DYSS, Fab is well below his best, he has been sinking ever since his Coach came here.

Sorry, I don't buy this confidence twonk. Some are disinterested lazy feckers who earn far too much, yet still get paid very handsomely for doing a sh1t job. There's a huge amount of ar$e kicking that needs doing imho. But these players hold far too much sway and there simply is no incentive for them to try any harder. Makes me sick quite frankly.

Well, you can't blame Fabianski for being hesitant with that lot in front him, his goal line resembles Rorke's Drift most games, but no lets blame the last line of defence, defend from the front and work backwards, Striker who can keep ball and midfielders who can link with the striker and drop in when needed and a centre mid that doesn't get hasseled out off the ball and a DM that can protect the back 4 and then a Centre Half who can lead and organise those around him. Fuk it Fabianski is to blame. [Post edited 20 Jan 2017 16:30]

I believe I must be unique.. on 16:37 - Jan 20 with 3490 views | Clinton | I'd agree with the OP, a few years ago we could only have dreamed of having some of our current players on the pitch. We are indeed lucky to see them at the Liberty. It saddens me that after the odd bad game we've had comments on nearly ALL the players either "he's s**t" or "should never wear the shirt again", or "stealing a living" etc. Some of them who post on here seem to have short memories and have turned into the sort "top six" supporters and whinge and whine at set backs. There's no room for gallows humour any more. There's no room for an appreciation of players quirks, its all got very cynical. I have to admit, though there are one or two players who have not progressed and where they were good enough team players a couple of years ago, the extra TV money has increased the standard and some just don't cut it any more. Mind you many Swans supporters dont realise how severely underfunded we are in comparison to most of the other Premier League clubs, even outside the top six. Clubs like Leicester, Hull, Southampton, Sunderland, Stoke, West Ham etc. have all had extra outside money poured in to them. We have not, that's why there are weaknesses in the team. Keep shouting for the lads. We can keep doing it against the odds. Enjoy it, despite the cynics and gainsayers. [Post edited 20 Jan 2017 16:44]

Fabianski is to blame for not controlling HIS area, he isn't coming out and taking high balls and his reactions are currently a bit slow against any attempt from within his area. Plus the stats do not lie, his stop percentage is poor compared to other goal keepers. Do you watch many other Prem games to see how he compares?

Regarding your last paragraph, we were no longer doing it against the odds. Both Rodgers and Laudrup assembled a squad that put us in a position where the odds favoured us staying up. Stadium size and attendance is not as big an issue in the Premier League as it is in the lower divisions. We receive enough television money to give is a great chance of finishing 17th of above each season.

Fab having a crisis of confidence , wonder what can be causing that. Even if you give him 1 error a game resulting in a goal or near miss, what about the other 2,3 & 4 goals we have been shipping in. Maybe it's been poor tactics or that shower of shite in front of him. Edit , didn't mean to quote DYSS [Post edited 20 Jan 2017 17:07]

I believe I must be unique.. on 17:50 - Jan 20 with 3180 views | shandyjack | whilst the word Sh!t is harsh, based on the level they are plying their trade in we have a squad where by only a hand full are at the correct level. Fab (despite being a big weak link this season) is still good enough FB's - not one is PL standard ( n.b. not judging Olssen) Midfielders - Only Ki, Siggy for me and thats only if they have the right players around them Wide players - Not one is good enough for PL (N.B. Not judging Narsingh yet) CF - I think both are cut out for this level in a squad where they have genuine ability around them

Its either a virtuous or vicious circle with Goalkeepers. A confident goalkeeper gives his defenders confidence and vice versa. Fab has been excellent for us in the past, so he's not a sh1te keeper, but his keeping this year has been sh1te. Too many balls that should be easy claims are landing in the box. If this is down to lack of confidence in those in front of him, he should be taking charge of the situation. Hopefully a change in coaching can rectify the situation quickly and he can get back to his best.
