Is the Llorente transfer supposed to be a loan or a transfer? If it's a loan and we get Batshuayi in his place then I don't think it's too bad a deal and I can sort of see the logic in it. Would really prefer we concentrated on sorting out our problems in defence and midfield rather than shipping out our top scorers though. |  | | |

If Llorente is to go to Chelsea it has to be Batshuayi coming the other way. If that can't happen then no deal.
A loan swap might work well for both parties. Chelsea get a quality back up striker who is suited to their style of play, and it looks like he's being headhunted by Conte. Plus he's happy to sit on the bench, and may even get a PL winners medal in the twilight of his career if Chelsea go all the way.
For us, we get a very hungry young player who's proven elsewhere to be deadly in front of goal. Works well for him as he gets PL experience and could pay off for Chelsea in the longer run too. He was worth 33 million in the summer for goodness sake! Pace to burn and will terrify defenders - who would much rather face Llorente than Batshuayi. Can turn a game very quickly as well, and could be pivotal in our relegation fight.
Might be one of those rare moves where all parties benefit. It's a gamble but I think one worth taking - but ONLY if it's a Llorente-Batshuayi loan swap, forget about Ulloa. | |

Whatever happens with this deal, I think we need to be taking someone from Chelsea on loan. If not, whats the point in getting rid of Llorente and just replacing him with Ulloa?
Batshuyai clearing isn't going to happen but I'd be making sure that if Chelsea want to buy Llorente that we get someone like Ake or Loftus Cheek on loan.
If Huw then wants to satisfy his insatiable urge to sign Ulloa - fine. At least we'd have Llorente off the wage bill, have a reasonable striker in his place (who will also be around next season 'if' we go down) and have added a quality CM or LB to our side, positions which are badly needed. |  | | |

I can't see him throwing his toys out of the pram anyway. People are just assuming he will. If he proves himself to have an attitude problem, doesn't score any goals, doesn't help the team and gets relegated, he won't be going to Chelsea or PSG in the summer either. Personally, and this is purely my opinion, I don't want Llorente to go. Even if it meant having Batshuayi. Llorente has started becoming more important to the way we are playing of late, with his hold up play in particular improving each game. Let him go and we need to find a way of fitting a different striker into our play, which could potentially cost us points.
As for Ulloa - Could be a decent addition to the squad, but I wouldn't be confident in his ability to save us as a first choice striker. Again, only my opinion. | | | |
