Have we had a slash since the dreaded 1973/74 season?
Dont think so, and what a season that was. i blame it on the tory government at the time. What could we expect with a cabinet including that broomstick travelling minister Thatcher.

The collar on the blue kit does look much better in person. There's a white bit under the black and the back is blue and raised a bit. It's different and works fine.
The shade of blue is much better than this year's too.

Loving the away kit
Bought it yesterday. It's up there with the best shirts we've ever had. Even the little things like how the sponsor is included in the material have been really well done.
If you can find me another shirt where the trim colours are used in a better way, I want to see it.

Both shirts are pretty unique which is a good thing. The red is something i would have steered clear of but if its never allowed to stray onto the home shirt i'll let sleeping dogs lie.
I might invest in a home shirt. Would there be any value in keeping the other designs and utilising those next time we change kits? All of them were worthy finalists and it saves going through the whole rigmarole again.

Rigmarole?
I'd go through that every day of my life. You need to appreciate how magnificent a thing choosing a kit really is.
Regarding the blue in the home kit, does anyone else prefer the darker shade we have had in other kits? A darker shade would have swung my choice in favour of the home kit

It's definitely a darker shade to the one we currently use. Might not show up as well on the photos but it's a proper royal blue colour.

That seals it then, home one for me
As long as they have any left in September !!!
Glad to be of assistance! I'd tell anyone to have a good look at that collar for themselves too. It's fine. Particularly like the balance between blue, black and white for the three different elements of its design.
Oh, and get the red one too. I'd implore any kit enthusiast to get one. It's the finest piece of clothing since Peter Duncan's suit on Blue Peter.

Does it not bother you in the slightest that the black and blue stripes alternate in order on the neck and sleeve trims?

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?
