There is an interesting article on the bbc football website which discusses the proposed move in to the olympic stadium from either tottenham or west ham, the main point of the article is by the leyton orient chairman who believes that if tottenham or westham do move in to the olympic stadium then it will mean that orients attendances will drop, which he believes will eventually kill the club. the olympic stadium is 3 miles away from brisbane road, both teams offer incentives that orient cant match, west ham proposes to offer cheap tickets in an attempt to fill the 60000 seater stadium and tottenham offers champoins league football at the moment, both of which mean that casual fans who may watch orient decide to watch a higher standard. It sounds to me like hes scared of having 1 of the big boys as a neighbour, saying that how does he think we feel being situated in the extremly congested area of the north west, and being in manchester with both the big teams doing well. We have survived for years and will continue to so why wont orient? [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]
