I Imagine we'll have the usual local-ish teams Chester, AFC Fylde, Accrington etc.

Old Pulteney is a lovely drop.

However, for convenience, Greenock Morton, Partick Thistle and Hamilton Accies would do.

A couple of local lower non-league teams: , Ramsbottom and Droylesden
A couple of L2:/Conference level: Halifax, Carlisle
A couple of L1. Derby would be quite nice, Bradford if they go up.
Someone in the prem. Most likely Burnley, but maybe Liverpool or Everton?
Someone unexpecred. Hearts or Hibs? Gibraltar or Jersey? Kaiser Chiefs or Grampus 8? The Spanish Inquisition? :-)

Queen of the South (in Dumfries for those who don't know) would be good

I watched Q o S play Falkirk a few years ago. I stood behind the goal amongst the home fans in what is (I think) still the largest remaining football terrace in Scotland. Some of the Q o S fans were wearing kilts!!

The refreshment bar was right at the back at the centre of the terrace - so you could watch the game whilst you waiting to get to the front of the queue. The scenery in that part of the world is brilliant (unless it is raining)

Palmerston is one of my favourite grounds to visit in Scotland. It's a great walk over the bridge from the town centre after a few libations. QoS are a nice, family-friendly club, too.

And yes, the scenery in Dumfries and Galloway is fantastic. A little further along from the town of Dumfries is a village called Kipford on the Solway firth, where I tend to spend a week in the summer with the family.

Like someone else has said, we'll head off to Spain like usual I'd imagine then come home for friendlies away at clubs like Southport, Chester, Macclesfield, Halifax and maybe Droylsden. Then a couple of decent home friendlies would be nice, like Manchester United or even Citteh. Burnley would be another decent shout. Everton and Blackburn are usually ones we find on our pre-season list.

If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor

Kuwait.

Actually, I'm back in England for most of the time so a tour of local non-league would do for me.

we have previously played Q o S in a pre season friendly, early 70s at Spotland. I remember David Cross playing up front. We lost 1-0
