Due diligence 20:33 - Apr 10 with 2638 views | dougie | Does anybody know how long due diligence takes for buyers of a company as big as the swans ? The talk is the deal will be done at end of season if at all. How can anyone say that until they have checked the books ?

Really ? Then surely the other directors and shareholders would know that. How did they keep that from the trust ?

Thats the point I was trying to make on the other threads. The Financial Director would only release internal financial information with regards to Due Diligence - if he had Board approval. Can't see him releasing it just on Huw Jenkins say so. Which suggests Martin Morgan and Brian Katzen did know Financial Due Diligence was taking place. Don't know why Huw Cooze didn't? Maybe this would be seen as prejudicial to minority shareholder if not asked to vote on this at Board meeting where tabled. Of course if Financial Due Diligence hasn't yet started - the Trust, Martin Morgan and Brian Kaizen can block it with their voting power. Club then doesn't release detailed financial information to the Yanks. Yanks just buy off those shareholders that want to sell - without club releasing the financial data. Can't then see Yanks going ahead with deal - as the rules of their venture capital funds wouldn't allow them to make a £100m investment without detailed financial due diligence - most probably.
Due diligence on 09:20 - Apr 11 with 2371 views | Clinton | Financially, it'll take about 5 minutes surely? Income mostly TV money. Expenditure mostly players wages. Projected income to rise 50% for one year to three years. could be decimated at any time if relegated, or the TV companies come to their senses by the time the next deal comes around.
| If you can fill the unforgiving minute.
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son! |

Proper due diligence of a company this size would take a long long time surely ?

They will want to take a look at players contracts, signing on fees still to be paid Ayew, Gomis, Cork etc. They will also want to ensure players have relegation clauses in their contracts. Will also want to understand lease committments of training ground with Swansea University - as I don't think club owns it. Also will need to understand Huw Jenkins and other Executive Directors contracts. Will also look at contracts with regards to the Stadium.
