Some went off, some clapped, shelvey offered the fans out, get the disgrace out of the club.

Poll: Can’t see the new guy coming in to sit on the bench so, who’s off?

Wish I'd counted his passes that made it to someone on white. About 5%. maybe.
0 shots on target.

At least we agree on something today!

There were players out there today who had a chance to show what they could do for our cause.
Only Cork, Nords & Emnes could walk off that pitch today and look Curt in the eyes in the dressing room.

It's just the internet, init.

I'd add Shephard as he kept trying and improved as the game went on.

Kingsley & Barrow in their short time.

You're having a mare today regarding Shelvey.
Look at the video clip of Shelvey further up this thread

Your entitled to your opinion I get worried when too many PS folk agree with me.

Singling him out is wrong even if we didn't have far worse out there back to topic do you think fans have the right to abuse abuse and threaten players because they "pay their wages"

The orthodox are always orthodox, regardless of the orthodoxy.

TBH if he gets near the pitch on Wednesday I expect the abuse to be a lot worse.

Pity we couldn't agree on a bigger list

Back to the real thing on Wednesday and maybe a couple of signings to lend a helping hand

Honestly, the last thing this club needs whilst scrapping in a relegation battle is headlines like this to be in a newspaper.

I was one of the fans who made his opinion of Shelvey's performance clear to him as he approached us. I was not alone, there were a number of fans feeling so. Part of me its still amazed I acted out like that as in the many years I have supported us I have only booed us twice which happened to be Jackett and Laudrup's final games before getting the sack. I was so utterly disappointed and dismayed at the lack of quality in front of me today and Shelvey was the worst of the lot.

I genuinely think the only reason he came to applaud us was to get the negative reaction which was inevitable so now he has more justification/leverage for a move.

I honestly cannot see a benifit to anyone by publicly slagging Shelvey off publicly. The idiots who where giving the fingers and calling him a w#@nker are the ones who need to f#@k off from the club, made the fans and JJS look like bad. The whole squad under performed and atleast Shelvey made the effort to applaude the away support. Gomis seen the crowd weren't happy and doddled off down the tunnel.

Thought he was far worse at Palace, maybe it was the live tv coverage.

Shelvey is not fit to wear the shirt and should never wear the shirt again and he needs to be sold.

Yeah he was worse at Palace. Although, perhaps more worryingly, he looked like he tried more yesterday but just wasn't good enough.

As for the comment further back about evidence of him calling out the fans at the end. I saw it with my own eyes, from the stands. He walked over to applaud the fans, some applauded and one or two made their displeasure known. He ended up giving them a hand gesture and pointed to them to join him outside.

I'll be surprised if he's here in February. Although, if the only option is to sell to Newcastle I'd be reluctant, as their a relegation rival and on his day he is outstanding. Saying that, it looks like we need to sell him to buy a striker.

Genetically, paedophiles have more genes in common with crabs than they do with you and me. Now that is scientific fact. There's no real evidence for it, but it is scientific fact.

Posts like this make me cringe!!!

Grown men in crowds with their mates are hard enough to offer football players out and hurl abuse at them, when they get a reaction they cry like little bitches and get everyone to turn on the player?? Pathetic.

Shelvey needs to leave the club for his attitude and past performance, not for what he did when OUR so called fans abused him!

Hopefully these pathetic fans will leave too!

I have to disagree. Selling him to Newcastle would be a master stroke. The guy has the ability to destroy their midfield, and any team unity they have left.

A creative midfielder is what we are really crying out for. Gomis will put chances away, he's already proven that. The others will begin chipping in too when we rediscover our attacking panache. Only a new MF can help us do this.
