Shocking news, a great player and a good man, but above all a husband and father. RIP to them both and my prayers are for the little girl and family and friends.

My favourite memory of him as an osprey, was when London Irish came to the, liberty in HC with a wrecking ball of a south sea islander at inside centre who was destroying teams every week in the Aviva. We put Jerry on him - no contest, game over.

Much more importantly remember him as a great man, stopping to help an unconscious colin charvis in a test match, and turning out for barnstaple 2nds, then wearing their socks for the ba bas.

Deepest sympathies to all his family and friends.

He was a physical mountain on the field of play, I'm no big rugby fan but when you see how such a giant of a man he was with such physical strength can die in such a way it brings it home how frail all this is.

Baby Ayla appears to be improving, so that is great news. Obviously tragic to be without both parents.

Truly tragic. I feel so sorry for the families and the poor child that is left.

No it was Tana Umaga who helped Colin Charvis, Jerry Collins had knocked him out (legally) in a tackle and had carried on with play, Great player and a very hard man.
