I would imagine that Matt left for the same reason most decent people eventually leave the Club and that money wasn't the only issue. I would also imagine he has recurring nightmares of returning to work for the Oystons. Also, Oyston would have to acknowledge the car crash is happening - he doesn't. Despite the entire footballing world recognising our demise his head is in a different place. Why - because, unlike us, football and the league status of the Club is just not one of his priorities. All his other objectives are being met and the Oyston coffers are once again full to overflowing. Matts return will never happen under the Oystons. | | | |

He's probably already offered Matt a new contract £195 per week plus as many Dominoes Pizzas he can eat and a bonus of £2k for every player he manages not to sign! |  |

Might even buy him some new paper for the fax machine. There can't be many clubs where the secretary is the cog which when removed the whole club falls apart but that is what has happened in Matt's case. He was the glue that kept the whole place together and his departure has seen untold damage. This new secretary really isn't good enough to clean his shoes.
As for Karl, the guy is an egotistical maniac who will never realise that it is HE and HE alone who is responsible for the mess we're in because he hasn't the faintest idea what he is doing. | |
