Picture a Poster on 23:52 - Sep 6 by Captain_Sham | Millwall game was in 2000.(You'd think someone who was there would remember what year they got tear gassed. I certainly wont forget it) |
I've been away with Swans so many times in my lifetime especially when I was in London and the train journeys were so easy from there. I can't remember every date of every match. We were held in the car park after the match for about an hour with a helicopter flying above us. There were a few boys on their mobile phones trying to arrange a meet at London Bridge. The cunning police took as on a huge detour around south London. [Post edited 7 Sep 2014 0:06]

| Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year. | Poll: | What is your favourite Knock? |

It's not hard miles if you're doing this trip once a season or even less... It's facking hard miles when you're doing 10 to 15 away games a season, every facking season. Hahahaha what a dickcock.

I think Shambles was referring to me there mate, not you. I was just talking about that game because I knew about the gas and I know I wasn't there... So I guessed it was around 2000 as I was away living.

Same here, Someone like Dickcock would never appreciate the distances and shitholes we've gone to in the name of Swansea City. You're talking a near 30 year history of home and away in all sorts of environments with all sorts of people, good and bad, through all sorts or era's. It's the one constant in my life... Cost me thousands of pounds and more than a few relationships, never mind other stuff. Fack him, there's real Swansea on this site not jokers like him.

Picture a Poster on 23:57 - Sep 6 by _ | That's a good story and good family line. You are a bit older than I thought you were then when you said you went to your first game in 1975 unless you're retiring much earlier than standard? |
Retiring earlier. | | | |

No I'll find something to do part time to keep my brain active. Will move back to Wales, miss the sea, see, get a season and live life to the full. And following on from another thread, my Mam's calling, I'm off to bed!

I assumed we were still talking about Darran. Anyway - allegedly he is loaded but doesn't want the money, instead living the life of a homeless guy out of choice?!? Also heard he handed in a wallet full of money he found on the street to the police too. Who knows!? Bought him a few cups of tea and a jacket potato on occasions when I saw him, but as I was working at the time didn't have a lot of chance to speak to him sadly. I've never seen him beg or be a pain in the ass... never seen him drink alcohol either! The rumours could be true but I wouldn't know. He seems a genuine guy though (but Darran on the other hand is a twange )
