Interesting what's going on over there. Was talking to my mate about them. For a start, whilst Pearce is a bit of a hero, very few wanted him as manager. It seems that Davies flew in the face of everything the board wanted and thus was sacked and Pearce is just a yes man for their own ambitions. They have sold a couple of players to Newcastle (albeit loaned them back) against Pearce's wishes and the feeling is that they had their chance under Davies and will struggle this season to get top six. I don't think it's a bad first fixture with no one expecting anything of us. |  |

For the sake of a tenner, I have dabbled at 11/1 - first day nerves, big expectations, their team still to gel and a new manager - could go any way! | |
