Just a heads up, as I am sure all your travelling fans will want a programme to celebrate your promotion, our progs are £3.50, there will be a decent supply inside the away end, sold by our lovely sellers Lindsay and Lucy(Be nice to them!)
If you want to get a programme before you enter the ground, come and visit our Programme and Badge Shop located just outside Gate 3 of the ground, you cant miss it, its a bright orange portacabin. The programme shop has loads of old Programmes Badges Books Yearbooks Magazines etc for sale well worth a visit.
The programme will also be on sale in the Snelling Bar and the Club Shop both also accessible outside the ground.
And yes we know £3.50 is expensive, but you do get our award winning 100 page programme, plenty in there for you to read.
Safe Journey down see you all Saturday.

Thanks for the information. It is expensive but could become a collectors item and if the contents deem it be worth the money than I don't mind coughing up.
I would rather pay an extra 50 pence for a quality item rather than the standard three pounds for a programme lacking in imagination and just stuffed full of advertisements.

Thanks For the info.
Quick question what is the parking facilities like down there??
Parking is non existent at the round, and street parking is tough if you arrive too late as its mostly permits, I would suggest you use one of the city centre car parks, its only a few mins walk from these over the bridges to the ground.

We do our best, you will find the Visitors section to be original not just copy and paste stuff that most do these days.
We will also have an historical look at past games, and lots of other good content

Looking forward to the day, like a lot of Dale fans my last visit was the Somerton Park game which is obviously one that you don't look back on with great memories. Anyway, you are back and I for one am happy to see league football back at Newport again.
You have had a steady season, bedded down and with a bit of luck will kick on next season. Sometimes the last game of the season can be just a case of going through the motions for everybody but on Saturday the atmosphere should be good from both sets of supporters and I expect Newport to want to spoil our party. I hope the advertising hoardings don't end up in the away end this time

Very emotional day for us back in 1988, sort of karma that we end our first season back with a repeat of that fixture.
I think you can expect a bit of a battle from us on the pitch with many of the squad still playing for a contract next season. we also have a point to prove after such a dire showing at your place earlier In the season!

And how on earth do you get into the away end? Looks complicated on Streetview!
On Corporation road there's two blue metal poles where the away entrance is - can be seen on street view. Also looking on street view, it seems a lot of streets are resident permit one side and restriction free the other. I'll be getting there early, already identified where I'm parking.

You could try parking in maindee, but if your looking to joining your fans, your best parking in town as Rochdale fans will be using the queens ( lloyds bar) and then escorted over the foot bridge to the ground

Are we really likely to be escorted?! Is that usually necessary for away fans?

Yes mate especially with 1300 plus in town, fans usually travelling down by train or in mini buses tend to have a few pints around town then make there way to the queens( lloyds bar ) as that will be rochdales designated pub, then 45 mins before kick off escorted down bridge street, over the footpath over the river and straight into the ground

Blimey. Thanks. If it's so organised, I'm surprised the club (Rochdale) haven't said anything to fans.
I'm just driving on my own: where's best in town to park near this pub?
You will find it hard parking close to the pub unless you get there early and very lucky, your better off parking at the ncp car park just a few mins walk from the pub, then you can enjoy the day,

Thinking of parking at the Kingsway Shopping Centre (up to £4 charge). Seems not far from the footbridge to the ground and not far from the Wetherspoons either. Not sure though! This is much more difficult than for any other away game I have ever been too!

usually on a normal day parking wouldn't be a problem, you can take your chances of parking near the ground or near town, but then all you will be doing is just wasting time, your better of paying the £4 parking at the ncp in kings way, that way you know your car is safe and you can go to the pub enjoy the atmosphere,

By the way, your fans are getting a bad review from our bury supporting chums in another thread, but if you and the OP are anything to go by I think we are going to enjoy our day! All the best!

Cheers
Modelboydave , there are quite a few pubs in town, come out the station turn left about 100 yards or so there is a pedestrian cross over and you will come across wetherspoons straightaway, that is Cambrian road, if you go to the end of the road you will see the lamb, turn right at the lamb and you will see the queens ( lloyds bar) wetherspoons, that's where all the rochdales fans will be, ground is 10 mins walk away

I can vouch for these directions, as a mate of mine who goes to Newport a lot by train told me the same for getting to both wetherspoons
