End of Season Shopping List 16:57 - Feb 16 with 7218 views | Windy_Miller | Who would you like in and who would you like out. But realistic though. Out - Tiendalli, De ZZZmun, Vasquez, Jazz, Lamaar. In - Someone who can head the ball on corners goal wards. Lefondre. Joe back from Liverpool. I'd like to see Bartley next to Ash to lighten the burden on him. Would be interested to have a post that didn't degenerate into a f* this and that post though.

End of Season Shopping List on 18:14 - Feb 16 by Drizzy | OUT Vazquez - no explanation needed Tiendalli - contributes very little and want a younger understudy to Rangel de Guzman - would like us to sign him permanently but can't see it happening Lamah - has actually done OK but we need more quality Emnes - loan won't be extended Ngog - what's the point in him being here? Lita - deadweight Bartley - don't see a future for him here IN CM - if Ki wants to play for Monk/new manager then keep him. If not we're gonna need an all-round central midfielder who can create from deep. A Yohan Cabaye like signing (I think Newcastle got him for around £4m) from Europe would be ideal. RB - young player to challenge Rangel and provide competent cover. Jack Hunt would be ideal but he's struggled with injuries this season. CB - make a bid for Steven Caulker. Give him one year to get the hoofball out of his system and prepare him to be our next captain. He is a fantastic talent and it's a monumental waste for him to be playing for Cardiff. I know this is unrealistic but he's what we need at the back. Ash is not getting any younger and Chico is wildly inconsistent. We need long-term stability at the back. Winger - I would not be against paying a Bony-esque fee for a truly quality winger (not Matt Jarvis). Dyer/Routledge/Hernandez are a very talented trio on their day but there's been too many poor performances from the wing this season. If Chadli can't get games at Spurs he'd be a good signing but I sincerely hope we can look beyond the Championship for truly quality options. ST - get a competent backup for Bony and someone who can offer something different. Then go out and get another competent backup in case the first one turns out to be another Vazquez/Shechter. F*ck it get three altogether because, Bony and sober Graham aside, our striker situation in the Prem has been an absolute clusterf*ck. Fitness coach - get a real professional. Can see us spending around £25m this season on the above players. I would prioritise quality over quantity as without Europe we probably need as big a squad as we've had this season. Get the business done early and avoid the Jenkins led panic buys. [Post edited 16 Feb 2014 18:32]

Couldn't agree more apart from the already departed Oscar. And I know this will go down like a heavy turd but i'd look to improve on Canas as well.Really dont rate him.

Correct. The only thing against him is that we've been saying this for 3 years. At some point he's got to prove he can step up. [Post edited 16 Feb 2014 19:25]

End of Season Shopping List on 17:26 - Feb 16 by Dull1Thomas | Would keep Tiedalli over Taylor Would keep Jazz as regular deputy for Rangel who is getting on a bit. Would keep and persevere with Lammar who has shown some glimpses of quality. Would keep Bartley as cover for Ash (Amat continuing to cover for Chico) Would look to exchange the following for better in their positions. JDG Jonjo marvin Leon (age!) Canas if possible but he's ok in my book All back up strikers |
Blimey! You'd be changing most of the team. Disagree with most of that and especially Tiendalli 😂, Roland, JDdG, jonjo, (although don't think he helps our team game as well as we need), Canas, Leon (!!!), and even Emnes looked better than our alternatives in his 45 mins. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
End of Season Shopping List on 19:30 - Feb 16 with 1520 views | QuakerJack | I wouldn't get rid of Emnes, I'd see if they'd loan him a bit longer.i actually think he's a few weights sessions from being a decent back up striker. He's decent in front of goal, quick and we've all seen the wrong end of his left foot. If we got him in the gym in the summer and bulked him up he'd be useful. Lamah is not good enough, vasquez should be shot, De guzman, he did get the goal today, but then he's not ours and I'm not sure he's worth buying, unless we loan him again. Whoever said earlier we should get rid of canas is nuts. Tiendalli can go, tremell as well, lita, altho we should use him as back up and just see how he does til the end of the season.

Keep Tiendali over Taylor? You can't be serious surely? If we stay in the league, we need to strengthen considerably. I would say we need: New right back as Rangel will not go forever. If Cardiff went down, would chuck a bid in for Caulker Two wingers, Montero and one other. Better quality back up/competition for Bony Would actually try and keep De Guzman but can't see it happening. Out: Vasquez Tiendalli Lamah Will also have to see how Emnes and N'Gog does before deciding. Sell Ki for decent money if offered, don't think he will fancy coming back.

Keep Tiendalli, Jazz and Lamah, but get rid of JDG, JonJo, Leon and Canas - you have really outdone yourself this time. We certainly need 1 or 2 wingers and a striker for starters.

Vasquez will have to go as will Lita and probably Donnelly. In midfield get Ki back, that's it. If we lose JDG bad luck, means Ki should get more game time. Defence we are okay unless someone leaves. If Ash leaves go for Caulker. Emnes and Ngog we will keep.

End of Season Shopping List on 11:19 - Feb 17 with 1284 views | yescomeon | Would ship off Tiendalli and give Richards a shot as Rangel's deputy for at least half a season. Center back is not in bad shape but if a quality player like Caulker is available then I would go for it. Left back sorted if we can keep both. Center mid I'd let JDG's loan end and have Ki back in there, with JJS, Leon, Canas and Ki, I'd say we're ok. Attaking mid we're more than ok here, assuming Michu stays we have him and Poz and I think Hernandez is best here too. On to the wings, think Lamah is ok, obvs keep Routledge and Dyer and if Lamah is cheap why not, would spend a few bob on a real quality winger ideal who could play both sides. Then up front, get rid of all bar Bony and maybe one of Emnes/Ngog if they prove they are up to it and again speed a decent bit on a real quality backup striker. Finally in goal pretty happy as it is. Summary, Out - Tiendalli. Vasquez, Lita, Donelly, Emnes/Ngog (one of), JDG (end of loan), Lamah* (end of loan) In - Lamah* (if cheap/free), Ki (back from loan), quality winger, quality back up striker

Also, would cost somewhere in the region of £20M to get improved versions of these 2 players. I don't think that kind of spend is going to be possible next season.

At least he knows where the back of the net is and can also hit it. Which is more than can be said of a certain Spanish player. The fact they want rid without even giving him some chances as a sub is beyond me.

For me looking at how bad the players that have been picked ahead of himby two different managers suggest that he cant have any hope.
