Dale’s penultimate away game of the season at Oldham Athletic on Saturday will be refereed by RUEBYN RICARDO.
The Leicester-based official was promoted to the National League list last season, with his first game in the middle being Aldershot v York.
He later refereed Buxton v Merthyr in the FA Cup first round and was appointed to Crewe v Swindon in League Two at the end of last term as a development game.
Aged 25-years-old at the time, Ruebyn became the youngest-ever referee from the black community to take charge of a Football League game.
His position among the development group of officials has continued this season with three games in the EFL Trophy, in addition to a couple of recent League Two fixtures – Harrogate v Grimsby and Tranmere v Sutton.
Mr Ricardo has also refereed Dale already this term, taking charge of our 2-2 draw at Maidenhead in October.
All told this season, Ruebyn has refereed 21 senior matches, showing 91 yellow cards and five reds.
