Just heard the awful news that Joe Thompson's cancer has returned .....absolutely devastated for him and his young family ; don't give up Joe (as if you would), all true football fans even us across the A627, are with you all the way. Cancer has no colours |

You are dead right mate, my son was one of Push The Boundary of OAFC who received loads of support from other clubs nationwide and we should never forget those who stepped up in our hour of need. Only fans of football teams can relate to the agony of those worried about their club's future existence. Hoping this US investment is the solution you dedicated Daleys are looking for mate |

Just heard that a US based organisation has signed a statement of intent to invest in the Dale. Just sending you Daleys the best wishes of me and other like-minded OAFC supporters who recall our own club's search for investment to replace our unsuitable owners. I hope its the good news you are looking for to secure your club's future and keep professional football in your town. Hope it saves you lot sleepless nights worrying about your future |

can't believe it pal but stellar signings don't always pay off. After 30 years plus of the good ship Latics going nowhere but down I am not used to such optimism |

seems a decent fella Judd, certainly gone down well at OAFC, particularly after our previous owners! [Post edited 3 Aug 2023 18:51]

Not posted on here for a while, left it all summer to let you all get used to the idea of Dale joining us in the National League. Whilst I welcome a return to EL Crapico or the 409 derby, wish it could have waited till OAFC returned to EFL but we are where we are. I suspect there will be times this season when you wonder just what is going on on and off the pitch like we did last season but it's not that bad honestly. Hope you have a decent stress free season fellas and all the best apart from your two fixtures against us. |
| Forum Reply | Sore losers? at 11:55 10 Feb 2023
It really is pathetic that OAFC are actually complaining about the referee maybe being a Dale fan. In fairness his performance wasn't the best but Latics lost because they were crap and Halifax much better on the day. Regarding rivalries, I am 60 and actually want Dale, Bury and County to do well, albeit not on the day against us. i am sure that that opinion is shared by many of my age although I am sure that our fans from younger generations may have a different opinion to mine. Good luck for rest of season, hope you stay up... |
| Forum Thread | Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year at 23:01 23 Dec 2022
Just popping on to wish all Daleys a Merry Christmas and a better 2023 for all of you individually and for the Dale as a club. 2022 has been a difficult one for OAFC on the field although hoping that our off the field issues have been minimised now we have had a change of ownership. Possibly looking at a further relegation unless our form improves, particularly away from home but that's all in front of us. Hope Dale sort it out on the field and you avoid the heartache of relegation, its a long way back! Always stay safe from those narcissists who want to run YOUR club and hopefully we will meet in the EFL again in the not-too-distant. |

Cheers Kel, you lot love your club just like we love ours. Always enjoy a bit of banter with any other supporters but when it boils down to it, we genuine football supporters always back each other in our hour of need. Best wishes for future & keep the Dale not for sale |

Great news fellas from OAFC. Congratulations for fighting off the sharks circling and your actions have saved the club from these charlatans. Over at Boundary Park, we might be non-league but at least we have got our club back and we can rebuild a club for our future. Hope you can concentrate on the football again lads, good luck |

Definitely a character! Well recall him doing a sponsored walk carrying his ladders. Latest I heard was that he had donated £115 to Dale Trust for the Fund against Morton House and had raised £000s for a boxer from Rochdale so that he may always be remembered. Sleep well Moggy, respect from all at OAFC |

Cheers Dorks, think it was supposed to be humour but may have backfired. Good luck to both Dorking and Dale for the season pal |

Cheers BlackDog, never thought we would see the day when we were Lemsagam free. One day you at the Dale will Morton House free and all eyes can be back on the football again. Best of luck for season lads |

I am not delighted with that comment, a bit of a throwaway, not sure why he said it but its out there now. Shez didn't look delighted with that either, think its made his job all the more difficult than it is already. From what I can gather, Rothwell is a bit of a character but is an astute businessman and has got a decent looking Board including the lovely avuncular Joe Royle. We Oldham fans are delighted to finally see the back of the Lemsagams, 4 wasted years. This fella looks like he actually cares about the town and its community and I think it will be a much happier place than for the last 20 years. Hope that you manage to stave off any action from Morton House et al and remain safe yourselves. |

Wonderful tribute lol Cheers lads, made me smile |

Cheers Pioneer 52 years of memories safely locked away pal, just now got to try and get the owners out and rebuild Latics so we can ensure that those who still care can have another few years of loving OAFC - or of hating them I suppose lol. Keep the Dale safe mate, a shining beacon of light in an increasingly murky world of League Football Governance |

Cheers Kel, good luck to the Daleys in your continued fight too mate. The real fight to reclaim our club starts now, absolutely no idea how we get these owners out and what the real state of our club will be once they have gone but we can't become another Bury FC. Other clubs have fallen from EFL, many never to return but have survived somehow... got to be humble and take any help we can get from other like minded supporters in football and hopefully one day we will be back playing Daleys in a League match. |
| Forum Reply | Oldham fans at 22:02 23 Apr 2022
Many thanks for your sympathy Northern, I know some of our fans are idiots but the vast majority (in my experience) are decent, humble fans who love their club like you love yours. Its been a terrible time to be a Latics fan tbh, these are now the darkest days in our club's history and I am not convinced that we will survive as a club, let alone thrive in the National League. Good luck to you Daleys for the future and in particular in keeping Morton House and other unsuitable owners from your club. We have got dreadful incompetent owners in who might destroy our club completely unless we can somehow get rid of them. In truth, compared to Mariupol and the battle that Ukrainian people are facing for survival, a footballl club's survival is nothing. Got to keep perspective in life |

Cheers Kel How are Daleys feeling these days? Seems you have lost a few players but in time honoured fashion are seemingly managing it ok? Good luck with season mate As for us, well totally different story. Nothing at all in place off the field and on the field is subject to the meddlings of a sporting director (he says laughably) not fit for purpose. Just want my club back but its painful watching it implode and can't see things improving under this regime. More chance of playing Bury AFC in future than Rochdale FC I would guess at the minute but hoping things will change |

Used to come on your Board for a bit of advice, just had a look at my postings and seems the last one I put was 4th January 2020 wishing you lot all the best against United. How time flies! Since then we have had a curtailed 2019/20 season, a pandemic which is showing no sign of disappearing and many clubs, individuals and businesses facing financial ruin if we all go into lockdown again. I agree with the term "Comedy club" although in fairness, its not that comical being a Latics fan at the moment. I have an affinity for all Lancashire clubs bar the 2 big Manchester teams and the Wanderers (from 70s) and wish them all the best. Hoping the Dale stay solvent (some things don't change) and you all have a team to support for the foreesable future. We at Oldham are facing much more pressing issues and are substantially more at risk I would guess at completing the season. |
