You're right about Bird and the resemblance to COG, Cairo is a passenger if he doesnt score, his all round play is nowhere near good enough, hes got that annoying skill where he seems to shrink when going up for a header |

Speaking of defence Hogan is rock solid at the back, seemed to get on the end of everything, lovely to have a "proper' centre half who's got a bit of bite about them and loves to do the dirty work. Very good first half just not sure why we went so defensive after half time and just invited trouble, obviously Oldham had to come at us but thought the whole second half's mission was to simply hold on to the 1 goal lead, it was never going to happen. The difference in Bird and Cairo is enormous, not sure the latter won a single header all game, Bird is far too good for this level. |

Very good watch that, just feel he skirted around the main reason the clubs actually skint is the Glazers have and are still currently taking hundreds of millions out of the football club whilst investing nothing back in, its all well and good cutting out smaller outgoings like meals, etc but its a drop in the ocean compared to the amount the Glazers continually withdraw. I dont think its mentioned enough how/why the Glazers ended up with so much control, a fact very much it seems linked to Fergie that always seems conveniently left out. |

From where I was it was never a pen, Hogan who looked class and very calming again ended up with their lad on top of him, thought the ref was terrible for lots of decisions throughout, not sure how some thought the ref let lots go, there was a spell where he seemed to blow up and literally gave everything to the opposition, even Jim was screaming at him. Goals change games as we all know and the finish by Barlow and Hendo both class but the through ball to create again game changing, really like the look of Barlow hes something a bit special, it really works when there's someone higher up who can not only hold the ball up but it also give time for the midfield to get much higher up the pitch, although not much to do yesterday Waller gives the team a great base to work from. Keep it coming Jim, credit where it's due |

Oldham are dropping like a stone and Alty beat York away last night, there's nobody in that league to be overly worried about if we just play to our own strengths. |

Rodney doesn't offer anywhere near what his physicality suggests, his touch is decent for that type of player but his finishing can be abysmal at times, he seems to be one of them annoying players that does better the harder the chance is and the less time he has to think |

Nice to see some decent refereeing too, a great advantage played for a clear foul for us in midfield in the build up to the second goal I think it was, they get hammered too often but credit where its due a great decision to let play develop |

The Altrincham commentary team sang Gordons praise literally all game, said he was ridiculously consistent all match |

Put whatever players you like into that system, the problem isn't the players |

They also refreshingly play to their teams, players strengths rather than swallowing the whole Pep ball possession shite, they're more than happy for the opposition to have plenty of the ball knowing a) they can defend (on the whole) and b) have the players higher up to hurt the opposition on the break if needed to shift the ball quickly, them and Bournemouth have been a pleasure to watch this season, always enjoy watching Brighton and Brentford too |

It was definitely one of the easiest ones where ultimately all the letters are pretty simple to translate from the riddle then into a short word, there's not much working out to be done it's just the timescale that adds any pressure, well when you're sat on your couch at least |

Tbh they all managed in the football league with us, we're now at a lesser point in the pyramid. Not too sure it's just a "drop in form" that's the major worry, for me it's his consistency to play a certain way that's blatantly not working with the personel hes recruited to do that job, not to mention his in game management, that would take some real explaining. We need to remember it's supposed to be entertaining first and foremost, the football for the majority and even before this season would be a superb cure for insomnia, im not sure it helps Jim's cause any the absolute shite we got served up weekly by BBM, sadly its very similar |

It took me a while and I was sat at home with a brew in my hand, it was the rotation of the letter that caught me out on the first lap of options... different pressures on the show against the clock, great effort 👍 |

I thought I saw him...always easier sat at home, but the 1% question was one of the easiest I've seen on there |

Alty could really turn us over too if we're not careful, they are very dangerous.... the clock could well be ticking |

I agree, it's not good enough to win the league but very capable of challenging the top 3/4 positions, i wouldn't be surprised to see us completely fall away from the play offs positions either which is criminal really looking at the options available to the manager. Today's game was far too similar to many others this season, when we had the chance to really push on, and make some real progress instead we chose to cruise around with the handbrake up a couple of clicks |

Looking at their pitch today it makes ours look like a freshly prepared Wembley, be fun to see how we adapt to that surface I'd be staying well clear of over passing it, even more so across the back line. |

Shame we couldn't "roll substitutions" until it's too late as usual eh Jim, his in game decision making is an absolute shambles, very much resembles the old rabbit in the headlights. I'm beginning to think this team's done very well to be this high up the table inspite of Jim rather than as a result of him. |
