Yes, your absolutely correct Big Kindo, it isn't rocket science is it , pervious posters have suggested similar resolutions, I'd like to tag on to your post if I may, anyone with an ounce of business acumen will realise that not identifying the "reserved seats " has/is/will create loss of revenue (many of the additional concerns have previously been well documented) one that hasn't, as far as I'm aware is the aggressive, entitled, half cut season card holder who attempts to access their allocated, unmarked seat/s then comes down heavy handed upon the family (through no fault of their own) of first time Crown Oil attendees, that's they're only experience of supporting RAFC having been spoiled, they may/may not ever return, then there's the group of mates (for example) who previously enjoyed 3 - 4 pre match pints in one of the Dale bars, they've now (case scenario) become sick and tired of attempting the access their allocated seats to find someone (through not fault of their own) sitting in their seats, the group have since decided to just have 1 - 2 pints and take their seats 30 minutes before kick off, I'm confident that the RAFC commercial manager is resolving the issue and applying "season reservation stickers" upon season card holders seats as I type, well maybe not!

So much to agree with Billy, I've been meaning to afford my opinion for a while and your post has prompted me to concur and add to your comments , criticising players in the form of "taking the piss" moronic terrace chants is futile and counter productive, Kario's effort is unquestionable however, as you rightly state is movement in and around the boxes is sadly well below par, added to that his first touch is more often than not poor and his heading ability leaves a lot to be desired it's sounding negatively critical I know, it's not meant to be, hopefully it's a work in progress !
Building from the back, getting the ball out wide, crosses into the box, as it stands is a forlorn tactic especially if it's Kario who's expected to to add the finishing touch !
It seems that Big Jim has now recognised the weakness and I'm sure that the coaching staff are working Kario hard in training !

I agree with most of what you say Sutty, I'd like to add if I may, many supporters match day experience includes a pre match drinks with friends or lunch with family etc generally enjoying the period leading up to the game, it's very difficult to enjoy ones self whilst " I hope that nobody is sitting (through no fault of their own) in my/our seat/s, will the people in my seat take kindly to me requesting that they find an alternative seat/ will this cause friction, I'll have to find a steward, will he/she be supportive" flitting through and flooding ones mind , as you've stated a sticky plastic reserved sign isn't rocket science (my words not yours ) some season card holder sit in the same seat for many years, it's already been stated that the green argument doesn't really wash, this reeks of lazy commercial management , the Club gladly take supporters season card money then it seems it's every man/women for themselves, surely someone at the Club has considered this as a potential flash point and/or inconvenience for the paying customers , maybe not, if one has a seat in the Directors Box then this is someone else's problem so why should Mr Pockney care !

Just like his passing EEL's headed attempt at goal was awful, as was Kairo's gilt edged oppertunity, not to mention Burgers inability to knock the ball five yards into the six year box (full of Dale players, instead hitting the side netting ) from the by line with ninety seconds to go, the two up top virtually unemployed and they both got the full ninety minutes !!!!! - thats just four examples why we lost in my opinion - regarding Big Jim's post match interviews -
Greg - are you ready to do your post match interview Jim.
Jim - oh no - what shall I say .
Greg - don't worry Jim I'll ask you a few soft questions, just string it out for about four
minutes .......
I'm following many others on to the Band Wagon, massive improvement required !

Exactly - EEL having played 82 league games over two seasons is the key factor here, there's absolutely no point in having a National League standard world beater constantly on the Physio's couch !

I agree and wish to comment upon your point the Chairman "having a swipe at fans for interfering with the sale of their own club" was totally unacceptable, those fans who post on this forum have been absolutely amazing, rooting out the shitehawks, the same shitehawks whom if the Chairman had had his way would now be stripping assets and running the club into the ground !

Someone "needs to read the riot act" I totally agree with that however, defiantly not the Chairman, his communication skills are that of a snobbish, pompous and out of touch £wa£ which will rub the players and management up the wrong way and only make matters worse - we require someone of the calibre of a Churchillian "fight them on the beaches " you know someone you'd have in your trench sadly, that isn't Mr Gauge!
Who then, sadly we don't seem to have anyone !

Fylde Teamsheet
at 13:57 2 Jan 2024

Exactly my thoughts Newbury, if I may , in addition from the glimpses I saw of Conway during his brief loan spell at Dale, he looked to me as the real deal at this level (proven over our two games against Fylde ) Big Jim preferred Ufuye (nowhere near good enough, even at this level) Conway didn't get the required pitch minutes therefore, he was recalled by Bolton, rightly so !
Conway went stright back out on loan to Fylde where he's been putting in man of the match performances since, I'm absolutely baffled !

Does anyone else remember……
at 20:24 13 Nov 2023

Exactly, I've been saying this to anyone that's willing to listen since Pep introduced "possession football playing rom the back" but squads can't play the "City Way" with players that don't have similar calibre of players as the City player's - possession, playing from the back seems to be the in thing, fashionable, even at Dog and Duck level in fact Managers at Clubs at all levels, standards and age categories seem to have got the bug and are instructing their squads to play the City Way/Pep way, I recently watched a Sunday League game were the Keeper was kicking/rolling the ball out 10 yards to a "Full Back" who couldn't even trap the ball, no variation, no clearing their lines, no Gerrit - ing it Forhead or relieving pressure, constantly on the back foot, being dispossessed time and time again !
Back to your post Drigdale, with regards to Dale, I'm not saying that its that bad but I do see similarities to the Dog and Duck not having good enough players, trying to play a certain style more suitable for top players , you've summarized everything I needed to say with in your first one and a half lines !

Thanks for your post Dalei - I hope that the young lad is OK and that what amounts an unacceptable experience hasn't put him off attending future Dale matches, your post reminded me of an incident when my son was 7 years old, I can see him now in my minds eye with his Dale shirt, scarf and clutching his Desmond Doll , the couple in directly in front of us ( I still see them now attending Dale games) were F - ING this and F - ING that, with the odd C and T thrown in, just futile, senseless, moronic swearing , so I asked then very politely to refrain from swearing there're response "why don't you F - OFF! Yeh, F - OFF into the family stand! " My son and I moved to another seat out of earshot from these two charmers,
it still brings a lump to my throat when my son said "Daddy does that mean that they don't want me to be a Dale Fan anymore" I wrote to the Club and received the response I'd expected - we take this sort of thing very seriously etc - with regards to the young lad who left in floods of tears, as I've said I really do hope that this sad experience hasn't put him off, as far as my son goes, he's now in his 20's and his support for the Dale is as strong as ever !

Max Conway recalled.
at 17:56 6 Oct 2023

Spot on Brierls, it's a case of a player who looked the part not getting much game time and a player who hasn't/ doesn't look the part getting game time, from the glimpses of Conway that I saw he has the makings of a decent player sadly, for whatever reason he didn't get his chance at Dale, he'll now go out on loan elsewhere and be brilliant and we'll be stuck with Oduroh !

RIP Mavis - my sympathy goes out to both Mavis's family and you Michael , Michael you've been a true friend and companion to Mavis you are both at the top of the all time Dale supporters list - Michael do you recall our chat at Wimbledon (just inside the turnstile) a few years ago when I introduced my young son to her and took photo's , my link is that Mavis supported Shawforth FC when she was a young women and that my Dad was one of her favourite players - god bless Mavis.

I think this is a fantastic idea 49th , I'd be shocked....Well, no I wouldn't actually be shocked if the Club didn't run with this one or something similar however, the Club do seem keen on getting the Kitchen up to scratch and starting up a take - a - way service, maybe they are waiting for a investor to drop £40K in their laps, they may not have the resources, will nor motivation to get your idea off the ground, maybe they are putting "400 - 6 x 20 vouchers =100" in place as I type, I don't know however, as it stands it's the best way to raise the required £40K that I've heard, I don't want to jump the gun but the primary problem being as I see it is if there's a stampede to spend vouchers over the first couple of weeks then the outgoings will way exceed the incomings if there's no capital to cover that initial period then it's going to be difficult to get off the ground !
