| Forum Thread | Hate preacher attempts to set up Islamic state in Scotland at 02:07 31 Jul 2024
His eminence Sheikh Yasser Al-Habib of Buckinghamshire England has raised millions of pounds in the attempt to buy a cluster of Scottish islands with the intent to set up an Islamic homeland in the west. The website of his organisation the Mahdi Servants Union states its aim is to “advance societies in accordance with the Islamic Rafida values and achieving Shia civilisation dominance”. Thankfully it’s not happening. Yet at least. Here’s a man who has been inexplicably granted asylum in the UK despite being too radical for Kuwait and Iran. He owns a private compound in the village of Fulmer in Buckinghamshire where he runs military training camps. His YouTube channel openly promotes hate and shows his private army of men in combat gear in military drills training in his compound. They routinely perform the ritualistic act of Tatbir which involves cutting your head with a sword and letting the blood wash all down you. He was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment in Kuwait for stirring up hatred but was later pardoned by the Emir. Shortly after he was stripped of his Kuwaiti nationality. The owner of the islands in question has stepped in and stopped the sale from going ahead. Is there anyone out there who can offer the slightest shred of justification as to why we allow extremists like this to come and settle in our country? |

What’s that noise? Oh it’s just the government slamming into reverse on all of their wonderful “fully costed” pledges and manifesto commitments. After spending the last decade and a half slagging off previous governments for austerity, cuts and not spending enough they are now happy to do exactly the same thing for the next decade and a half. This country is broken. I wouldn’t trust any of these middle manager types from either side to run a small corner shop, let alone the country. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c724g07qwdwo |
| Forum Thread | 10,000 prisoners to be released at 11:57 12 Jul 2024
What a country we live in. They say crime doesn’t pay it really does. There’s no justice in this country, criminals have free rein to do whatever the hell they like inflicting a lifetime of misery upon their many victims often without consequence. If the prisons are full build more prisons. Don’t let the scumbags out. |

Bloke with a pressure cooker loaded with gunpowder just been arrested, looks like he intended to detonate a bomb inside the hospital. |
| Forum Thread | If it farts you gotta pay! at 14:57 2 Jul 2024
Sometimes you read an article which is so completely and utterly ridiculous you cannot believe that it is real. You have to reach for a calendar and check it’s not the 1st of April. This was my feeling as I sat mouth agape reading about the Danish government and the next mental and futile plan to become climate zero. They are taxing farts. Yes you read that correctly. Farts. Every cow, sheep and pig will be taxed €100 per metric tonne of fart every year. The average cow apparently farts 6 metric tonnes of fart every year. So that’s €600 per cow per year. Just for farting. No doubt it won’t be long before the Senedd follows suit and drives a further stake through the heart of struggling Welsh farmers and consumers driving food prices through the roof again. When will this madness end? https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2024/06/26/denmark-cow-and-pig-burp-tax-to-be [Post edited 2 Jul 14:57]

| Forum Thread | Labour less popular now than under Corbyn? at 09:24 19 Jun 2024
Despite talk of a supermajority and Labour triumphantly sweeping in on a wave of votes on July 4th the latest yougov poll has them only sitting on 36% which is a whole 4% lower than the percentage Corbyn achieved in 2017. https://yougov.co.uk/elections/uk/2024 If this poll is accurate it’s a quite pathetic performance from Starmer, Rayner et al. you would think or hope that they would be taking full advantage of the disarray in the Tory ranks and we’d be seeing a surge in Labour voting intention. But there seems little appetite to vote for Labour either. They’re losing support if anything. It’s quite a sorry state of affairs all around to be honest. |

The Dutch have been kicked out, that poor young Israeli girl is getting incredibly unwarranted abuse from the lovely peaceful protesters and has to be under armed guard 24/7. The Irish are causing a scene because he doesn’t want to be on Israeli tv. The French are refusing to sing and just want to stand there pontificating instead. Might actually be worth watching this year 👀 |
| Forum Thread | Confirmed sighting of the lesser spotted Tjoe-a-on at 12:49 6 May 2024
Remember him? I’d assumed he’d gone to live with Lord Lucan and Glenn Miller and would spend his days feeding sugar lumps to Shergar and getting his fetlocks checked whatever they are. But no alas it looks like he’s “done a kikarayav…kuckarayev…kookariavi…………..a Mykola” in that he’s turned up for the Indonesian national team and has played 5 games in two weeks including 2 games that have gone to extra time. He’s also chipped in with a few assists. Any inside info as to why this guy has been completely shut out by our club? Seemed particularly silly at the start of the season when we had no fit full backs and he was until we signed him playing fairly regularly in the Eredivisie. 2 million followers on instagram too. Popular lad. |

Eggheads at Cambridge university are currently getting full chub ons whilst observing the distant planet of K-2-18B (not the catchiest name) through the Webb telescope as they believe this is the closest they’ve ever been to answer the question-is there life out there? It is thought to be a Hycean planet which is a predominantly hydrogen atmosphere with a liquid water ocean but the exciting part is they believe they have detected a significant amount of a gas called Dimethyl Sulfide there which is only produced by living organisms here on Earth. Further observations will follow to determine more about this world but could have huge ramifications to our own world and history. So far the Pope, senior rabbis, the Dalai Lama and the leaders of Hamas have yet to comment. https://www.earth.com/news/planet-k2-18-b-studied-again-confirm-presence-dms-gas |
| Forum Thread | Intensity energy & desire at 22:12 18 Mar 2024
We have obviously had a god awful season by our standards but the big frustration for me is if we approached every game with even half the levels as we did on Saturday we’d probably be in the playoff contention at least. That should be the base mark going forwards week in week out now. I don’t think anyone would complain at any defeat if we have that level of commitment and desire. It’s when we lose and don’t lay a glove on the opposition that understandably makes people moan which has happened too often this year. Hopefully this is a turning point. |
| Forum Thread | Big Willy and hair at 22:15 9 Feb 2024
This is something that has always bothered me from a young age and I understand there may be many people on this forum who may disagree with me but I thought with this issue in the news at the moment I thought I might mention it to try and create a constructive and intellectual discussion. Of course I am talking about balding men who desperately attempt to keep hold of every last strand of hair even though it looks ridiculous. So here’s my hypothesis; Balding men desperately attempting to keep hold of every last strand of hair A) looks awful and B) ages them significantly. Exhibit A: Prince William aka big willy. He’s only in his early forties, is objectively a reasonably good looking chap even though I’m not gay and he has quite a young face but looks about 55 because he’s still desperately hanging on to that back and sides only look. If I were balding like that I’d just hack it off and go full Vin Diesel/Ross Kemp and just embrace it. It nearly always looks better than a Bobby Charlton comb over or a Steve McLaren Hair Island. I’ve always thought it utterly ridiculous. Any baldies on here agree with me? |

No waiting lists for them. King sausage fingers has got an enlarged prostate and princess Kate has an unspecified abdominal condition that is described as serious and required surgery. No doubt there’ll be many on here delighted by the news. |
| Forum Thread | Public money down the toilet again. at 13:46 17 Jan 2024
Four years ago the bbc spent over eighty million pounds rebuilding the Albert square set for Eastenders. They have today agreed a deal with insurance giant Axa to sell it, their asking price? Seventy million. You genuinely couldn’t make it up. It’s all part of their cost cutting review where they have to find five hundred million pounds from somewhere. It’s financial mismanagement on an almost criminally incompetent level. |
| Forum Thread | Hull handball at 20:29 26 Nov 2023
Was it just my imagination or did a Hull city player pick up the ball while it was still in play and get a free kick for it? There was no refs whistle until after he picked it up? Think they scored shortly after too. |
