If our meandering and inconsistency continues much longer then it is likely that CO will run out of patience with our stop start performances. If he is promoting the club to business associates his credibility will increasingly be at stake both on and off the pitch!
Cutting through the many constructive comments currently being made on here in relation to the 3 Year Plan, ultimately it is a results business and this is the number one priority. Together with an attractive style of play and goals it will attract increasing numbers to the COA.
Unfortunately unless BJ shows greater flexibility and adaptability he will cut his own throat. He has signed good players but our tactical limitations are being exposed on a more regular basis by workmanlike outfits such as Wealdstone.
The quality of his signings has been good but it does not look as if they are gelling quite as expected possibly due to numbers. There are also signs of frustration in the body language of some individuals. We are not too far away but desperately need a leader in the middle of the park as we are too nice to play against.
Is the club really punching above its weight in budgetary terms? The next two games provide a valuable litmus test for where exactly we are if they are on. Given our inconsistency I expect a win and a loss but not necessarily in that order.
The honeymoon period is well and truly over. |

Performance that was too predictable and lacking in quality. So few chances created but Wealdstone know how to defend. Really missing Kairo.
I am beginning to doubt whether we can make the play offs now, and even if we do can we compete against teams in the top 7 who are in decent form. |

Really disappointing performance so far with no real quality. They look more workmanlike and appear to be up for it. Caution to the wind. |

Yeah the summer holidays were like self managed sports camps! Happy days.
Not sure if the pitches are used at all now? Sparthbottoms was another place we used to go to occasionally.
Sounds like you were the year above me at Wilfrid's and Henshaw's. |

Remember many happy days on Stoneyfield as a youngster. We used to cross the railway line opposite the Elms Pub as a shortcut.
Robert Riley's played there on the bottom pitch. The upper pitch was often used for cup semi and quarter finals.
Usually more than one game of cricket on a summer evening with teams from Deeplish.
We also made a football / cricket pitch at the old Sparthfield / Merefield Clinic when we were boys and the management there were happy for us to use it, with local dustbin men and police coming on for a kick around from time to time.
Remember Rob Finc, the Connolly's, Micky Ray, the Hennessey's and Pophams as well as guys whose names I can no longer remember. |

Agree.
Sounded like 3 points dropped to-day. Although they had the better first half did we hit the woodwork three times in total?
Need a more positive mental attitude from the off with no fear as we are so much better on the front foot.
Kairo is in a bit of a rut but Allarakia through the centre seemed promising, and Hendo still has his predatory instincts.
We still have to play these at home and although we are treading water in the play offs now know that we have nothing to fear from them given our performance at their 'fortress'.
Good to see Forest Green pegged back. |

Whilst it is a results business I tend to agree that the playing style must be improved especially at home.
Nonetheless we are one year into a project and in the play offs.
We have proved that we are capable of better performances and fully expect us to reach those standards more regularly.
Also need cover for Kairo unless one of the fringe players can step up. |

My impression is that his hold up play and finishing are both improving and that he has significant potential. I also feel he looks more dangerous when Hendo is on the park however there is no doubt that we need some back up.
Hopefully BJ is looking at possible candidates because if a good bid comes in January good luck to to him. |

Very frustrating against the bottom of the league. Still comfortably in the playoffs but our injuries are a worry. |
