Haven't seen that game but there is a lot of online comment about Mr Oliver's officiating last night.
As for this National League season, It's no worse than League 1 or 2 for refereeing standards. The ever poor Marsden was weak v BIFFO's but in general, the refs aren't terrible in this division IMHO. Seen much worse from the likes of Styles, Walton, Marsden et al in the EFL in years gone by. |  | | |

I thought it was a great game for the neutral - lots of passion and a real old fashioned derby. People say that Oliver wasn't in control of the game. He did miss the horrible clash of heads of the two everton team members that almost allowed Liverpool to score. He didn't follow the head injury protocols quickly enough and looked embarrassed about it. But otherwise I thought he did okay in what was a fiery encounter. He couldn't stop the Everton fan melee when they scored the equaliser. He couldn't stop Doucoure running to the Liverpool fans to wind them up. Not seen police running onto the pitch to break players up before - but it was needed. How was the ref going to control that? | | | |

Thought the ref on Tuesday missed an obvious red card for the horrendous tackle on Burger, deeming it as just a yellow. The commentators then said that same player scored the equalizer in the 6th minute of 5 added on. | | | |
