Fixture changes due to call ups 17:08 - Mar 15 with 11612 viewsboromat

https://www.rochdaleafc.co.uk/news/2021/march/fixture-news_postponements/

Seems to suggest it's 'our' players that have had call ups without naming them until squads are announced. Not sure this is good or bad for us. Gives the squad a week and a half rest but means a relentless last 4 weeks or so.

It is our players as it's affected two of our games, plus the story says more news to come.

It's also confirmed that way on Swindon's and AFC Wimbledon's websites.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Yeah the 'our' was in reference to it possibly also likely to be the loan players rather than our own but you never know with the likes of Baah and the international youth squads.

so in our last 11 games the next 3 are against top 7 teams, but then 7 of the last 8 are against teams 10th or lower. Would be great if we could get 1 upset win in the next 3 to keep in touch with safety, especially if it was that elusive home win

Congratulations to whoever's been called up, a great honour for them and for Dale. The only thing that worries me about this though is now would be a good time to play Swindon. Recently-appointed Sheridan is under a lot of pressure there and he may not be in a job come the rearranged fixture, which would be worse for us!

It definitely changes the dynamic of the rest of the season can't decide if it's in a good way or not though.

If it means that the likes of Lund, Ryan and Beesley are fit for the rearranged games it’s got to be good.
Just hope that Bazunu comes back unscathed.

I hope that Mcloughlin is not called up either.

He wasn’t so he can take a break.
Bad news for him but good news for the relation scrap.

Bit annoying that Vale has been called up with him being injured recently.

It's cool, we've already played Sunderland twice so he won't be brawling with his brother anyway...

After tonight and four points from safety, not sure this was the best move.

Yes, it’s hindsight, but it’s also some foresight that we’d be risking going to Pompey possibly a few points adrift. The option was to play Wimbledon and Swindon at home with Lynch in goal, no Grant in midfield and without the option of Baah off the bench.

I know it's not related to international call ups.
I was looking at the run in for the 18/19 season.
Plymouth got 8 points from their last 10 games and Walsall and Scunthorpe 5 points each all 3 teams joined Bradford in League 2 the following season.

Oxford gained 21 points from their last 10 games and Rochdale and Wimbledon got 17 points each. Those 3 teams were in the drop zone after game 36 but they survived.

Possibly without Humphrys and McLaughlin. Definitely without Lund and Ryan.

Who know in a couple of weeks.

Maybe hoping Lund will be back for the Swindon/Wimbledon rearranged games - and Humphrys possibly would have missed this week's games with his hamstring? Either way it's in our own hands - win all our games.

If BBM really has them up for the fight they'll win 3 games a week. Time will tell. We are increasingly adrift but all we can do is win at least half of the next 10 games. If we can't we are down. If we do and others around us do, we are down. In which case the first 36 games defined our season and not the 13 day rest. We have to play the hand we've been dealt. I just want to see some fight and resilience now - the last 2 games show what we have been capable of all along.

I would imagine this call-up will increase the fee set by tribunal when he departs.

Do we know if Lund is back in training or not and as BBM indicated a timeline for his return.

I do not think we will see Ryan again this season.
