In the last 12 months the lad has matured so much both physically as a man and skillfully as a footballer. With him playing so well and scoring goals, I just wonder how long before the vultures appear and when the inevitable happens how much we would let him go for. Must be a million plus.

Well, BBM actually chalked off signing an additional midfielder such was his faith in Morley this preseason. I’ll be the first to admit that I was sceptical when I heard that.

However, in the games I’ve seen Morley this season, I would say that faith is more than justified.

Morley will eventually have his price, and ambition, like all our Academy players.
