Nile Ranger to Dale! on 23:53 - Jan 26 with 16212 views | Thacks_Rabbits | If we sign that tosser I won’t even check results this season. Thankfully we won’t do so it’s a non story. He is undoubtedly very talented, or was, but he has taken many wrong paths. Big no from thacks

Nile Ranger to Dale! on 01:51 - Jan 27 with 15989 views | BlueDales | If we sign him and he sorts himself out, we'd have a player far too good for the lower end of League One. Hill likes signing and turning around "broken toy" players, but surely Ranger is too far gone? Swindon and Southend both failed, why will it work for us? Having said that, as long as we're not paying him loads I'd probably be in favour of signing him.

Why should Hill be any different to all the other managers that have tried and failed? Can you imagine the self righteous comments on here if it was Bury or Oldham linked with signing him? He's just a nasty piece of work and despite desperately needing another presence up front it's a shame if he's going to be our only option, despite his protestations he's a changed man. If we have to do this, give him a short term contract until the end of the season so it won't cost much to bomb him out at the first hint of trouble. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Nile Ranger to Dale! on 09:00 - Jan 27 with 15547 views | DaleiLama | Listening to Keith's recent interviews recruitment on our budget is challenging to say the least. If this is a low cost, low risk punt, I see no harm in it. Necessity is the mother of invention and all that. Sure the contract will have clauses in about behaviour to protect us. We seem to be astute on most contracts.

Nile Ranger to Dale! on 10:42 - Jan 27 with 15078 views | TomRAFC | On the surface, it's always exciting when we're linked with a player we've heard of. Look a little deeper and he's a violent repeated offender with a poor scoring record. Personally it's a no from me, but we do need someone. [Post edited 27 Jan 2019 11:06]

Wait till if and when pen is put to paper. Last illegal activity appears to be 2015 according to Wikipedia. Perhaps he has turned over a new leaf in that respect.

Nile Ranger to Dale! on 11:13 - Jan 27 with 14914 views | SaxonDale | In his post match interview Hilly said he wanted 3 more players before the window shut, one with genuine pace up top, a left back but didn’t elaborate on the third. Could well be that Ranger is the 3rd player with Hilly trying to keep it under wraps.
Nile Ranger to Dale! on 11:25 - Jan 27 with 14854 views | sweetcorn | I’d take him. League one pedigree, would be one of our better players and we’d get him relatively cheap given his current situation..

He’s scored 20 goals in 54 league one games, thats hardly a poor scoring record. If that’s classed as poor then calvin shouldn’t be a professional footballer..

Nile Ranger to Dale! on 11:45 - Jan 27 with 14769 views | jonahwhereru | To quote Frankie Howard thrice nay! He has as many entries on his charge sheet as in the goals scored column in his time at Southend. I have liberal views but how many times can you say he has paid for his actions and the slate is clean? He has had his chances but hasn’t learned from them. He is so far removed from the the culture the club has built I cannot see why they would jeopardise that and employ him. If he moved next door to me it would trouble me because trouble follows him around and his doorstep has seen plenty of it. On a football front saw him once at Southend and he looked unfit, and that was not early in his time there when I saw him. It’s a big no from me.
