Grimes
at 09:50 28 Jan 2025

With Williams there we are in real trouble. A proper manager wouldn't have Grimes sitting between centre halves , leaving the other 2 midfielders exposed to the extent that he pushes fullbacks inside to compensate. Fullbacks that give the ball away in dangerous positions from where the opposition invariably score.

Colemans business acumen

I have just found out what Andy got for Xmas and to be honest it has made me feel a little more confident for the future :

Quickbooks
Football manager 2008
Subbuteo

With those tools in his procession what possible could go wrong ?

Colemans business acumen
at 16:33 26 Jan 2025

The guy has made money but not from building and running businesses that employ 100's of people. His family ran a small hotel in Washington from what i have found out and he then made his money from arranging finance etc for hotel acquisitions. He is absolutely out of his depth when it comes to running a business of our size especially in football. He brought in Kenny boy to try and deal with the every day stuff but the UK is a different animal to the US. For starters our employment laws will cause him problems.

To think Coleman now is looking after player recruitment is frightening and fills me with utter dread. The club is rudderless yet these 2 think they the know what they are doing. They don't and we are in the cack big time

The problem is what club management ? Coleman and Gude ? Micky mouse and Daffy duck would have more of an idea of what to do

So got some info.
He wanted to stay this season as he suggested the manager and wanted to help the new head of womens football bed in.
Unhappy with some signings that he felt no better and just wasting money. They should have been offered amateur contracts not semi pro.
Unhappy with the line on ' identity ' when it is so different from what they were known for before and the football is unrecognisable from previous seasons.
Taking 13 players to TNS just about finished him... the perception that a swansea side can't take 16 players to TNS he felt was embarrassing considering we have a 17's and 19's side .

Basically left as no point being there as the manager doesn't want to listen to advice and the head of football is leaving.
That has come from 2 sources. One close to him.

Cabango and Darling crunch time is here
at 11:32 24 Dec 2024

Cabangos form has certainly dropped last few games. It could well be due to contract talks. The club need to tie both players down as it will cost a lot more to replace.

I can probably find that out.
They certainly seem to have lost their way since coming into the club compared to previous seasons where they were pretty much unbeatable. It could be that he just isn't happy with the ways things are going.

I can't see that happening. Whilst they are in the Welsh league there isn't enough interest. They are lucky to get 50 watching them at home. If they stay in the Welsh league i can't see the club continuing to offer semi pro contracts as there is no revenue coming in from them unless the get to champions league. That is looking highly unlikely this season.

Would he be a loan or permanent. I wouldn't want to see him as a permanent signing.

Jason Levien has left us in a stronger position than when he took over?
at 17:26 25 Nov 2024

I think i have said it before but just to reiterate.

Levien lied in the fans forum when he said he was told not to talk to the trust. He knew he could get away with that as who would dispute it ?

The HOTs signed in December 2015 specifically said that ' the buyers had to engage with the Trust before the deal could go ahead ' ( or similar )
Leviens engagement was minimal and he made out that they had no intention of selling. ( obviously i have no idea exactly what was said in the meeting )

Was Ken Gude in Swansea working on the buyout?
at 12:32 24 Nov 2024

To be fair he didn't ruin this one as he started it :-)

I tend to read more than post and really don't have a problem with resolv and the way he sees things. Each to his own and i do agree with a fair bit of what he says. One thing he doesn't do is resort to petty name calling etc (that is not saying you do Raynor )

I think they are buying the company - Swansea LLC which holds the swans shares.

🔴 Not fit to wear our clubs shirt and not fit to run our club
at 14:44 8 Nov 2024

Whatever the story it isn't because of indiscretions around one of teams. Just certain fans putting 2 and 2 together and getting 70001.

I'm told he had to go although Coleman didn't really want him to go but had no option. I wonder if working with close allied agents had something to do with it ?

Very interesting. There is probably a link between Coleman and Morse as well since Coleman made a lot of his money raising funds for Hoteliers.

Swans players feel disrespected by their contract offers *Latest
at 11:36 5 Nov 2024

It is frightening to think Coleman is now in charge of negotiating transfer and contracts, 8 weeks away from the transfer window opening. X was covered with people celebrating the departure of Watson when i personally thought it a bad move without a replacement already found.

The snippets i have heard is that there is no rush to bring in a director of football. The clubs management board have no one with a clue about football. That's really worrying.

Watson
at 17:24 10 Oct 2024

The straw that broke the camels back in my opinion. There may have been other things that the yanks weren't happy with ( they do tend to fall out with everyone who doesn't see it their way ) but this rumour is just farcical. Not only will it hurt Watson but it doesn't shine said team in good light either but some people don't care about that as long as they have their 5 minutes. Thoughtless and desperate.

Paul Watson leaves the Swans : Updates
at 17:18 10 Oct 2024

But strangely enough some posters believe everything they read on X and quote it as fact rockin. Which ever way you look at it it can and does cause carnage.

I actually don't get all this excitement about Watson being binned. It leaves us with the 2 soccer gurus Andy and Ken to steer the ship football wise. Does not fill me with any confidence and those below them in the recruitment department are not up to it
