I don't mind the standard of opposition to start with. They might be lower league to start but this time around unlike last season I actually feel like there is a reason for it and part of a bigger plan. This is about fitness and working on patterns of play with and without the ball, against opposition who are unpredictable. You can do this in training but everyone knows each other so they will know what a player is going to do with the ball. Here you have to do that but with the unknown #inmartiwetrust |

Would be great to know who down voted me. I said I thought I had read the article somewhere and didn't think I wrote my piece in a decisive manner. Instead of down voting, share your thoughts and opinions and have a conversation. We are allowed to have different opinions Oh well |

I might be completely wrong here but I think I read somewhere it was some sort of FA initiative to have more black coaches in elite positions and the national team. I think he might have replaced Chris Powell when he left. If this is the case it's a risky game. Having a coach in the set up to meet some sort of quota. Rather than his coaching ability etc. Now Southgate might think he is a good coach and adds value to the set up. If however a role is being held for someone from an ethnic group then does that not promote the very thing they are trying to eradicate? The racial bias in the game. Saying that though, might have dreamt the article and if so forget everything I said. I just firmly believe that the best person for the job, gets the job. No matter skin colour, gender and all that |

I think the club have been making plans for him not signing and maybe Chair going. That new kid Bennie looks like a replacement for one of them at least |

I know it's only first few minutes into the game but any noticeable changes in pattern of play? More Marti ball now AB not in goal? |

Pep has coached out the very thing that made Grealish unique and different. |

It's typical Southgate. Plays the same players all the time. Kane in stupid friendlies. Everyone know what he offers. Try some other options. If Kane got injured first game, then know other player has those important international minutes. Same with Pickford. Play someone else, see how they handle it. Pickford is steady for England. For every good save he makes, there is a mistake around the corner too |

I sometimes think Fury looks a sloppy puncher. So many lunches looked like slaps more than punches. I did this k he size would play more of a part though. Out of all the bigger heavyweights Fury is one of, if not most skilled. Joshua etc big punchers but not skilled boxers. Fury could defeat you with tactics and skill. I am not sure if Fury is actually the best at taking a shot despite what he did against Wilder. Usyks punches and what they were doing to Fury seem to occupy Fury's mins too much at times. Fury was at his best when he remembered he was the bigger fighter and was bullying Usky and fighting with confidence. Usyk is a freak if nature. He has now put away two of the biggest in Fury and Joshua. I do wonder how he would fight against someone who has the size of both Fury and Joshua but also has Joshua's power and Furya boxing skill. Is there such a boxer out there |

Can't really decide out of them lot who id want going up. Not Leeds, well because it's Leeds. Not Southampton because of Russell 'Pep Guardiola' Martin and his total football arrogance. WBA cos they've been there enough times. To probably Norwich just to watch them crash and burn again |

Who was the sky commentator for that game? Bloody hell can't stand him. Any major moment to add drama he has to talk with a. full stop. after. every. word |

Dykes just needs to go despite apparently signing a new contract. Always on his heels, never anticipates a pass. Always arrives where the ball was about 2 seconds after it was there, seems to be even slower. For his size doesn't impose himself on defenders and basically wins nothing in the air. Couple of great crosses last night, one in particular from Anderson across the 6 yard box and where was Dykes. On the edge of the penalty area. He never makes a run for the player with the ball. Just runs alongside the defender making sure he isn't an option |

Dykes never gives the person with the ball an option. Just runs along side the defender rather than making a run I to space. Always seems to be a few seconds behind the play. His anticipation is awful. |

I was watching the game on TV so can only go by that but Dykes always arrives where the ball is after it has been there. Is his anticipation rubbish, the passes miss hit it is he running half arsed to where it's being played too. Cross in the box, arrives late, knocked down the line, arrives late. I personally would have taken him off at half time. When he can be partially bothered he is almost an asset to the team with his closing down, but I would rather he not close down and scored some goals |

And yet you seem to still like our company and come on here. Like others have said until the process is concluded then innocent until proven guilty. Not hypercritical in the slightest. To be called hypercritical by a fan of another team is nothing really. I would rather be called that than what a a section of the Millwall fans are known to be |
