Takeover Talk or investment at the Dale
at 18:35 29 Feb 2024

Just heard that a US based organisation has signed a statement of intent to invest in the Dale. Just sending you Daleys the best wishes of me and other like-minded OAFC supporters who recall our own club's search for investment to replace our unsuitable owners.
I hope its the good news you are looking for to secure your club's future and keep professional football in your town.
Hope it saves you lot sleepless nights worrying about your future

Enjoy the season and good luck
at 18:20 3 Aug 2023

Not posted on here for a while, left it all summer to let you all get used to the idea of Dale joining us in the National League. Whilst I welcome a return to EL Crapico or the 409 derby, wish it could have waited till OAFC returned to EFL but we are where we are. I suspect there will be times this season when you wonder just what is going on on and off the pitch like we did last season but it's not that bad honestly. Hope you have a decent stress free season fellas and all the best apart from your two fixtures against us.

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year
at 23:01 23 Dec 2022

Just popping on to wish all Daleys a Merry Christmas and a better 2023 for all of you individually and for the Dale as a club. 2022 has been a difficult one for OAFC on the field although hoping that our off the field issues have been minimised now we have had a change of ownership. Possibly looking at a further relegation unless our form improves, particularly away from home but that's all in front of us. Hope Dale sort it out on the field and you avoid the heartache of relegation, its a long way back! Always stay safe from those narcissists who want to run YOUR club and hopefully we will meet in the EFL again in the not-too-distant.

Managing owners who are not in it for the good of their club
at 18:38 31 Oct 2019

After a bit of advice really and have always found Daleys to be forthcoming with decent advice, specifically to their Bury counterparts in respect of their rogue owners throughout the years. Such advice if heeded may have had a different outcome for Bury but it fell mainly on deaf ears and they are left in tatters.
My club OAFC are in a precarious state as far as I am aware - the club are about as transparent as a maze and the finances look hopeless at best, inaccurate and possibly worse if access to full accounts allowed.
Just after some advice on how Daleys have managed to tackle any "rogue owners" you may have had over last few years? How have you managed to persuade Daleys who were in denial that there was an issue? Was your Trust active in representing your concerns? Did you have any protests? If so - what were they like, what was the outcome?
I am a humble BIFFO (well BIFFM really - Middleton lad) who wants my club to be run for the good of its club, fans and community - nothing more, and that my club is run as befits a professional league club and treats all people with dignity and courtesy. It is far from that in my opinion but we are trying to effect positive change and are not too proud to ask for advice from our neighbours. All advice will be gratefully received.
Good luck for rest of the season fellas

Congratulations Dale
at 16:54 26 Apr 2019

Not been on for a while as there has been a lot going on over at Boundary Park for my attention. With that, coupled with the events at Bury and Bolton, Dale's survival has passed almost unnoticed. From a seemingly impossible position again this season, the Dale have turned it round again and under BBM have secured some great results to lead to safety in Division One. Wishing all you Daleys have a good summer and maybe, just maybe we might join you in League One again next season (doubtful but hope springs eternal), credit to the management team, players and fans.

Joe Thompson retirement - from all at OAFC
at 13:44 5 Feb 2019

Just heard Joe Thompson has retired from professional football at Rochdale FC.
This man scored the goal that ultimately relegated OAFC last season but it is more fitting that he is remembered as a brave young man who beat cancer twice and returned to play for Rochdale FC until his body could no longer meet the demands of the professional game.
You, Joe Thompson, are a credit to yourself, your family, your club and football in general but also to 1000s of young people struck down by this awful condition.
Good luck in all you do in the future Joe from all at OAFC
