That was painful to watch. Extremely painful. I actually thought Rochdale played better last year in the 0-3. I know that sounds stupid but there wasn't much in that game, we were just clinical. We were terrible yesterday and have been for most of the season but I don't think we will go down. This squad on a paper should be nowhere near the bottom four. |

Johnson is good at signing players out of the picture and selling them on for profit. Korey Smith was picked up for free and sold for 400k, Jonson Clarke-Harris bought for 10k sold for 350k. I wouldn't be surprised if your board has challenged Johnson to do similar.
Edit- I'll also add that Johnson made signings late In the transfer window as he felt you got better value, I wouldn't be surprised if you signed 3 or 4 at the end of august. [Post edited 15 Jul 2015 16:48]

I always rated him when he was with us and was disappointed when we let him go. Never prolific but worked hard and has pace and trickery which caused problems. Dickov played him out wide and he was excellent cutting in from the left. I'd have taken him back. |

We did £10 season tickets for under 16's the season before last. It attracted all the local scrotes who had very little interest in Latics and were more interested in causing trouble. There were reports of opposition fans having their hair set on fire and coach windows being bricked on more than one occasion. One away supporter complained he got hit in the head by a crème egg thrown over the barrier from the home support. I know some of you will say this is a regular occurance at BP but I can assure you it is not. Safe to say the offer hasn't been used since. |

and this is why I don't think you will make it. No bias whatsoever, I just feel that a team with a bigger squad such as Barnsley or Peterborough will make it. |

like a lead balloon. No offence to the guy as id love to see him do well but I don't see what he has done to warrant the job until the end of the season. My only guess could be that the man we are after is currently under contract until the end of the season (dowie with sky perhaps?).
Either way Corney has been predictably quiet in all this. Its bizarre as we made a statement in January by selling none of our big players and infact strengthening. To then let the manager go when we are three points from the play-offs and practically abandon all hope for the season is strange. |
