He was 2 years above me at school and funnily enough his name/case came up at a reunion we had on Saturday night. Pretty infamous case.

Union Berlin away.
Outside the ground having a few beers in blazing sunshine, then once in the ground the heavens opened and the game was abandoned after 12 minutes.
DJ played loads of rain themed songs then when it stopped us and a few others ended up walking to some real dodgy place in East Berlin called the Hangover bar for a few hours.
Top away day

You did brilliantly mate, walking the last 10 miles on eggshells due to blisters and a wrecked knee.
Your Mum would be very proud I'm sure, you more than did your bit to raise the huge amount we did.
Nice easy one next year?

Thanks so much W7R, and thanks to everyone who has sponsored us so far.

We've now gone past £16k, which is pretty amazing to be honest, and I'm still bugging work colleagues and anyone else I know for anything they can give.

Shades of Bob Geldof and "give me the fxxking money"

I just want to echo Tony's thanks to everyone for donating and also for the advice on what to do on the day.
I did the moonwalk through London back in 2010 which seems a lifetime ago so will be well stocked up on cushioned socks, energy gels and deep heat!

Thank you, there's no such thing as a small donation, every penny will help someone somewhere.

Blokes a khunt.
Start playing the way you were expected to, then give it large
Until you've played 20 decent games for us not 2, wind your neck in

Can only agree with the sentiments written by others.
2 things we lead the country at:-
The Community stuff
We have the best match reports bar none

Everything else is pretty crap at the moment so Clive thanks for the gallows humour, it's worth it's weight in gold.

Teddy Disson-Meade RIP (14th Minute Applause)
at 12:03 3 May 2023

Deepest condolences at this saddest of times.
The son of one of my closest friends used to play with Teddy at Pitshanger a few years back. My friend was really distressed telling me at the weekend that he knew him, said he was a lovely lad from a lovely family.
Love to you all

That'll be my old mate Fergal from East Acton.
Married a girl from Perth back in 97 the day before the Port Vale game, we watched it in the Bursewood casino and left at 4-1!
He's been out there 16 years now, was over at Xmas for the Luton game.

If you base yourself in Dusseldorf or Cologne you've got both those teams, plus Leverkusen, Monchengladbach, Dortmund, Schalke and Bochum fairly close by and in the top 2 divisions plus Duisburg (blue and white hoops) in the 3rd.
Tickets for Dortmund aren't easy but the rest should be manageable and as Mel said train travel is cheap/free depending on where you're going.
We drove out there twice and did Bruge v Liege on the way back once, and PSV v Den Haag on the way out once, easy to get well priced tickets for both

Thanking back think mine was Clive Allen again, but against Middlesbrough in a 6-1 win in early 1983.
Classic Clive, hadn't done much and I think scored all 3 in the last 20 mins

Another Clonakilty fan here, can I add that the white pudding is every bit as good as the black.
The promise of Clonakilty sausages is the only thing that gets my kids out of their bedrooms at the weekend.

Had a lot of dealings with them under the old owner Charlie Price who sold up & retired. Guy called Richard bought him out about 7 years ago. They do a lot of business inside Heathrow and Gatwick as well as car/van recoveries & servicing

Memories of the 83 promotion game
at 14:09 29 Jun 2020

Day before my 14th birthday.
Was in the West Paddock with mates from school

We went 2 up in about 10 minutes and my mate Steven Payne ended up on the pitch waving his Union Jack with "Sealy" written on it at the away end. Yeah I know what was he doing with that on it? Well Sealy really went from zero to hero that season, think he ended up with about 16 goals and top scorer?

Remember the horses on the pitch and finding out from someone with a radio that we'd clinched the title.

Those last 3 home games, Leeds to win promotion, Fulham to win the league and Wolves to parade the trophy were pretty wild, horses on the pitch 3 straight home games, has that happened since?
