I remember during the 73-74 season Dale held a meet the players at Tesco still have the autograph sheet of that infamous year. Also took my son to another event many years later when Rickie Lambert signed my sons shirt as he said it was the first time he had seen his name on a fans replica shirt and talked to me about how he nearly gave up football as he was diisillusioned before Rochdale

Personal dilemma

Yes it does seem to follow the lets see what happens concept, even non league clubs are tweeting the events of the friendlies they are having.. even Bury AFC have sold 800 team shirts to fans and they are set up to play at Stainton Park Radcliffe without any players for the following season as yet...save your money think of the fixtures...
AFC Blackpool v Bury AFC
Daisy Hill V Bury Afc
Holker Old Boys v Bury AFC
Lower Breck v BuryAFC
Seriously though it makes you think of why you watch football and the 73/74 season was the worst I have ever seen and touching my season ticket stubs for that season makes me want to put it on e bay. I wish Bury AFC all the best and I hope that their stay i the non league benefits all the clubs with increased attendances...seriously though if it was us would we still be a club .. credit to the bury fans

Yes he came to us from Morecambe and played 73-74 remember his debut he looked like a small greyhound but boy could he run with the ball. Exciting footballer from the onset in a disaster of a season. Walter Joyce was the manager had ideas and it did not work such a shame as he had loads of potential. This was my first season that I bought a season ticket and wins against Hartlepool (LC) South Shields (FAC) and Shrewsbury was the sum total of the season.....to make matters worse I missed the Cambridge game at Spotland and my Dad said that he counted 150 fans so the 320 must have included players officials players and dog walkers

I always remember Rickie signing my sons shirt with his name on it, he appeared really humbled and took time to look at it and looked at it as if it was an ephinany moment that he had returned to footballl, special moment that I really appreciate

Punching goalkeepers at Rochdale have always made me to feel worried but this guy brings in another level .He knows where it is going. He brings in a flair but will be caught out on his footwork; mark my words but hey ho! I am fully up for this guy after seeing him celebrating with one of the ball boys after the dale goal and he knows how to save a with a camera save

Loved it today Players smiling, loving the touch of the ball, playing it close, no scrapping or finger pointing. Lovely football, players being allowed to play as they can not fearing Doncaster are a decent team and will be up there at the end of the season so up the dale lets look forward to a really decent season

Following week went to see East fife v Winsford Utd attendance 36. Next up Rangers came to Dundee like an invasion well that's Scottish Football brilliant.

10 point deduction ridiculous give them the treatment that Rangers got in Scotland helped a lot of clubs with the crowds. Right down the league Nelson , Colne, Barnoldswick and Atherton Colleries would benefit and it might sort out this fiasco

Be careful what we wish for Fylde or Liverpool
at 22:07 8 May 2019

Liverpool
Liverpool have been allocated 16,613 tickets for the Champions League final in Madrid, approximately 24% of the Estadio Metropolitano's capacity.

The cheapest are £60, but only account for 20% of the Reds' allocation, with 54% of tickets priced at £154, 21% at £385 and 5% at £513.

AFC Fylde
After consideration around the costs that our fans will have to incur with two trips to Wembley, the club can confirm that Junior travel will be subsidised.
Now just the low price of £5, the U16 travel has been subsidised in order to help families with the cost of an expensive day out, and to ensure our fans of the future don’t miss out.

Two trips to Wembley in just 8 days is a unique experience, and an unprecedented one for a club such as AFC Fylde

Barry Fry is what you see is what you get, read the label. I like the guy he treated me and a couple of others to free tickets once when we went to Peterborough as he liked our banter and respected that we had come a long way to support Rochdale.
He spent a long time chatting to us and giving anecdotal stories about his experiences very funny and insightful.
He is like a market trader selling towels at Tommyfields Market 'I not givin you four but I'm givin you eight! send that fiver down ere'..

Bless him hope he wins his next bet
