I don't think he's any better than Smyth, Dembele, Chair, Saito or even Kolli, and I'd far rather we played them.
I hope there's another reason for having him, such as building a good relationship with the Spurs and taking one or two others on loan next season in positions we really do need to strengthen.
I'm not sure why this summer would see a bigger churn of players. I think 5 to 6 incoming transfers would be about right, and so fewer than last summer.
I'm a little more critical of the overall performance than others on here. First, we didn't move the ball quickly enough back to front, but that's been a problem for much of this season. Secondly, when we go long, the ball either pings off Frey or there isn't a player close enough to him to challenge for the second ball. Thirdly, the lack of a clinical finish was very evident today.
That said, we did give it a go but sadly weren't good enough on the day.
Yep, I get the points you make and things may develop in the way you describe but it's too early to tell.
I don't think Starmer is able to play good cop to the EUs bad cop if that's what he's trying to do. Regardless of what he's attempting, he'll be forced to pick a side sooner or later.
At home Starmer is yet again on the wrong side of public opinion. Even most MS media side with Zelenskyy.
With many European countries coming out in support of Zelenskyy - including Germany and France - through his own choices, Starmer is stuck in the middle. I don't think it'll turn out to be a good place to be.
Thanks for the report, Nadera78. What a great result! Although the squad was missing some of its best players, it still managed to get revenge for the seniors' FA cup loss.
Interesting to see Nathan Shepperd in goal for the DS. I don't think he's played for them before.
You said Esquerdinha played and, if so, he'd have been one of the trialists as he's not listed by name in the line up. But we bought him in January from Fluminense, didn't we?
I share your thoughts on Talla, who's been a very good player but his progress seems to have stalled. Also Murphy has always impressed me but I don't think will be retained.
September 5 was a very good watch. The way they used the actual footage taken at the time was excellent. The set they created was meticulously researched, giving the film an authentic feel.
Eze to Spurs this summer? I've only seen one clickbait source repeated by other clickbait sites reporting this rumour. Has anyone seen a bona fide source reporting it?
Looking at the DS line-up vs. Swansea on Tuesday, only two players from the Development Squad were involved. The rest appear to have been drawn from the U18s, plus one trialist. Six DS players are currently out on loan, and there are several U18 players, including Putman, also out on loan.
There is another DS game v Leicester City U21s in the Premier League Cup this Friday so DS players were probably held back for that but there seems to be a new policy of getting as many youngsters as possible out on loan.
King Edward's was my local park back in the day. My school used the old stadium for it's sports day in which I took part in the 440 yards race. Non of your 400 metres nonsense.
