Spooner - sadly you speak for the majority there - there is a difference between expectation and realisation and sadly most of us realise that what we expect won't happen! |

There really does seem to be a divide nowadays between football chairman who care (Bournemouth, Fleetwood, Middlesbrough etc) who are highly regarded by the fans, will take the rough with the smooth and understand what it is that fans want (and we know we can't win every game or that would become dull) and then you have the absolute toss pots like those two who just see it as an ego boosting power trip. |
| Forum Thread | Looks like we'll be seeing Tony McMahon again next season ... at 09:23 25 May 2015
.. thankfully in a Bradford shirt!! TONY McMahon is in line for a permanent switch to Valley Parade once the dust settles at Blackpool. Phil Parkinson is keen to add his versatility and experience to the squad after the 29-year-old caught the eye on loan at the end of last season. He has opened talks with the player, who started City's final four games, and is confident that a deal will be done. Former Blackpool skipper McMahon is not being retained by the crisis-hit Tangerines, who are currently down to eight senior players and no manager. Parkinson said: "I would like to keep Tony if I can. I thought he did very well and showed his versatility and he has good football intelligence. |

One day, when the club has moved back to sanity and the land of the living - love this line SATW because that's where I feel we're at. It's almost like we're not following anything at the moment - when was the last time we got excited at this point in the summer over transfer rumours, fixtures coming out, plans around the ground? It just seems a long time since we had any sort of normality at this football club and having read and enjoyed the debate on this thread about what needs to happen, what the future could hold and what the club and fans need to do to push forward I'm damned if I know. It must be like looking over a bomb hit city and think where the Hell do we start but there has to be a start or we all may as well give up on it. |
| Forum Reply | Important Information for Blackpool fans about Judgement Day at 17:22 22 May 2015
Ironic the TangerineKnights who seemed very keen on unlawfully getting fans to go on the pitch on the last day are now offering this advice which includes this paragraph. Is anything worth your life being mucked up for the sake of a football club? As a general point, the consequences of a criminal record may last a life time and have many consequences in your personal or professional life. A conviction may mean you losing your job or not getting one; you may not be allowed to enter certain countries and criminal records should be declared to any insurers you have which could mean increased premiums. A record may hinder you doing voluntary work. |

Very good point BBTRR - end of the day though am pretty sure that it is against the law to go on to the playing surface and those who did can't really complain if action is brought against them. Those who wore masks and scarves over their faces are probably pretty glad they did in hindsight. |

TAM - I come at this as someone who has never joined any fans group and so have no real opinion of any merit on any of them. I think the problem with our supporter base now is that whilst we have probably never been so united, the fact remains we're divided by all the different supporter groups which have been set up. BSA, BST, SISA, TK, BASIL - the list goes on and therefore who is speaking on behalf of the fans? It seems everyone and no one. In many ways, this idea has been gifted to Karl because it means he now doesn't have to bother speaking to any fans groups yet can still claim he is listening to the fans. There must be a few BST members who bought two year deals and I suppose the hope is that some of those who aren't a 'bumspider' will stand up and be counted. |

| Forum Reply | Did fans help make up Clark's mind? at 11:47 11 May 2015
I think part of it was Clark realised he would never win the fans over. He must read the forums and newspapers like anyone else and the abuse aimed at him, at times, was as bad as it was aimed at KO. |
| Forum Thread | Great Article on Blackpool at 11:46 11 May 2015
Making the point that the FL are going to act against QPR for over-spending and so why not act against Blackpool for the opposite. I suppose the problem is that KO will prove that we have spent money - just very unwisely. Despite the rhetoric, I really don't believe the FL will ever intervene in a badly run club. |

Just been on Sky Sports - criticising the lack of resources and kit man - Says he's been offered a 2 year deal and will make his mind up over the summer. |
| Forum Reply | Clark has showed Riga up ... at 11:27 3 Jan 2015
I know it's not good board etiquette to drag back up old threads but interesting reading this one which I thought had a point at the time and now wonder if Clark's signings were all smoke and mirrors. The fact none of them have stayed (bar Eagles and O'Hara who are desperate for work) does it show that actually none were better than what we had in the first place? |

Have to say that Stuart Green was one of the worst players to put on a Blackpool shirt - definitely one of those who stole a living! |

Sadly TAM - BFC is a business to Karl just as his farm is. Slaughter a few cows and he can go and buy some more. He's never appreciated the word loyalty and is clearly one of these rich kids who thinks they're always right. Sadly 5,000, 10,000 or 50,000 signatures won't make a difference but it does keep the pressure on others to expose what is happening. This family are so dodgy that all it will take is for one experienced accountant or lawyer to delve in to their business - I get the feeling the Daily Mail have the bit between their teeth and I'd be looking to keep pressure on them. |
